Hi I'm new here :)
We are coming to Disney on Xmas day this year for 2 weeks. :yay:
I've never been to Florida, and have to say although I am SO looking forward to our trip, I am blown away by how massive and how much choice there seems to be for EVERYTHING. I am actually struggling with where to start :confused3
I'm coeliac so need gluten free meals. We will be staying in a self catering apartment but I am reading everywhere that I need to make reservations for dining way ahead of our trip.
I don't want to be self catering all the time so need some help please if anyone can suggest good gluten free menu's or good places to book ahead that can cater for me. We will dine early as we will have my beautiful daughter who will be nearly 3 with us.
Can anyone suggest somewhere nice for New Years Eve?
Many thanks for reading x

TS you can pick anywhere you would like. There is a place where you can add in your dietary needs when you book the ADR's.

I would go over to the DisAbilities Board and they have information about contacting Special Diets. Special Diets will send you a form via e-mail to fill out with all of your ADR's. They will then send it to each chef so they will have food that is safe for you to eat. The chef will come to your table and come up with some food that you will like.

For CS, special diets can send you a list of CS places that have food for people with allergies/dietary needs.

Send an email to WDW.Special.Diets@disney.com specifying what your dietary restrictions are (in your case gluten and anything else if there are others too). They will send you about 7 word document attachments full of info, including a sheet to fill in and email back to them. GF dining at Disney is easier than anywhere else I have ever been. :)

Disabilities board is also a great place for info and bouncing ideas - plenty reviews on GF dining there too.

I agree with the other posters. My son is allergic to over a dozen different foods... WDW is the only place where he can eat a full meal (other than at home) without having to give up something on his plate. The TS (table service) restaurants are fully equipped with all gluten free alternatives... and if they aren't currently, they will make sure to have alternatives upon your arrival... and the majority of CS (counter service) spots can accommodate you as well... just keep in mind that the CS places in DTD are not Disney owned and operated so they will not have any special diet items... enjoy your trip and welcome to The DIS!!!
