help-when do my points need to be used by

I have a question-we borrowed points from 2010 for our upcoming April 2009 trip. We are planning on shortening our trip by 2 nights. My question is-what happens to those points for the 2 nights we arent using?
We have an April use year so would they need to be used before April 2010 since we borrowed them from 2010?

Did you use all borrowed points for the reservation or did you use some 2009 points as well? If you used some 2009 points you can see if these points can be freed up when you cancel the 2 nights. Then you could bank those points into 2010 if you like.
If all points were 2010 points then yes, the points from the canceled nights would need to be used by March 31, 2010.

Thanks for the quick reply-all the points are from 2010, so I should be able to save them until then!
