Help ... what was that song?

We were on the Wonder 4/24 -27 and we had a fantastic time. At the Tropical deck party the CM's got the kids to get the parents up to dance to a rather funny song, we all had to stand in lines and do what the song said - it was something like:-

start by clapping
'to the left, take it back now yo!,1 hop this time, right foot lets stomp, left foot lets stomp, cha cha real slow, turn it out'

then we had to 'slide to the left, slide to the right, criss cross, lets go to work'


We had a lot of fun doing this and we would really like to try to get this (We're from the UK and hadn't heard it before) as it would be a great reminder of our cruise.

So 'pop-pickers' what was it? and who sang it?

That song is really popular here. All the kids do it at school dances or at the skating rink. DD just left for school. I know she would know the complete title & who sings it. I believe it is called "Cha Cha Slide". If no one else knows by the time she comes home from school, I'll ask her about it for you.

Just did a search on it. It is the Cha Cha Slide by DJ Casper. I'll have to get dd to teach me it so I'll know what to do LOL Here's a link:

It is indeed the Cha Cha slide.

Edited to add... You don't have to learn it. The song tells you what to do as it plays. They tell you to take a step back. etc, etc.

We also were recently on the Wonder and LOVED the music at sail away parties. We found Hey Baby on a CD Single while still in FL and must have listened to it 100 times on the drive home. I'm wishing they'd put together a "Cruise Line CD" so we could recreate sail away parties at home!

It's "The Cha Cha Slide", by Casper.

"Hey Baby" can be found on the Kangaroo Jack soundtrack.

"La Vida Mickey" CD can be found many places, especially The Disney Store.

Mix those 3 with some Margaritaville, Kokomo, Red Red Wine... and you've got yourself a Disney Cruise party!!

it's on the radio disney jams vol. 3 CD

we like to party by vengaboys

can't remember the dance moves...possibly it's what we did the electric slide to...actually, what everyone else did the electric slide to and what i moved to the edge for b/c i was getting crushed (something about being dance illiterate!)

FWIW, we could NOT find jams vol 3 OR vol 4 on disney property, but ordered it from amazon while still at WDW and it is now here.
