My principal gave these plants to the teachers in our school for teacher appreciation week, but I have no idea what it is... Anyone know? Thanks so much!

It's an annual called celosia. Comes in a profusion of colors. Easy to maintain. Loves sun. Doesn't winter over.

Gina's correct. I have quite a few of the tall red variety in my garden.
