Help- what happens if

I want to switch one night of my May trip to the poly- can i just bok it borrowing points from 2015 (dec use yr) online (its showing available)- and then call to have member services cancel my one night at AKV and put those points into 2015- even though I used my 2014 points originally (I banked the rest of my 2014 points to book a dec 2015 stay)?

Why don't you just have MS do the booking and the canceling at the same time so you don't have to borrow points?

You can do that, and you'll be able to bank the points released when you cancel the one night (assuming those were current-year points). But they will not be able to undo the borrowing.

Definitely call to have done IMO. It took awhile but I got through
