So from the OP (original post):
"My DH checked us in at ASM but while he was doing that I lost my DS and when we took our luggage to our room it was a real HH..."
...would translate to:
"My husband checked us in at All-Star Movies/Music, but while he was doing that, I lost my son/sister and when we took our luggage to our room it was a real hell hole(?)."
Even some of the abbreviations can have different meanings, for example:
ASM could be All-Star Movies or All-Star Music, I've seen both. I've also seen ASMo and ASMu - which helps reduce confusion.
DS could be Dearest (darling, or Disney) Son or Sister...it's also used for
Disney Store, but that can usually be determined by context.
Finally, the glossary only lists HH as Hilton Head, but in the example that would make no sense. The only thing that I can think of for the example would be hell hole. Maybe "happy hoe-down" or "huge hotel-room"?
My favorite is when people use "SM" alternately for both Splash Mountain and Space Mountain because it is almost impossible to figure out based on context sometimes - plus you can throw Spectromagic into the mix, for added confusion.
It can be real HS (head-scratcher) sometimes.
