My family wants to eat at Coral Reef for dinner on our upcoming trip. I am not a big fish eater and I want to avoid anything mushroom at all costs. Any suggestions? I do like shrimp and crab neither of which is on the menu as an entree.

I just looked at the menu and there is a steak at lunch and dinner. I also saw a shrimp skewer. These menus were on Deb's site.

FYI - they will leave off any mushrooms if you request it

My hubby loves fish and seafood. I can't eat it, makes me sick - literally. But he wanted to go very badly. What I did was told the server that I can't eat fish and wanted to order of the kids menu, they had chicken. No problem. I was happy, hubby was happy, its all good.

You didn't say whether or not you liked Lobster (I have only met one person in my liife who didn't, lol)

Appetizers You might like:
Creamy Lobster Soup - chervil, brandy $7.00
Corn Chowder - fresh corn and bacon $6.00
Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail - chilled shrimp, spicy cocktail sauce $10.00
Blue Crab Cake - served on fresh corn salsa with sour cream and chive sauce $10.00
Beef Skewers - tenderloin marinated in a sweet and rich glaze, accompanied by a celery root puree $10.00
Caesar Salad - $6; add fried rock shrimp or a grilled chicken breast for an additional $6.00
Mixed Greens - blue cheese dressing or Key Lime herb vinaigrette $6.00

Entrees You might like:

Grilled Chicken Breast - served with wild mushroom risotto with truffle butter $21.50 (ask for a different side, WDW restaurants are very accomodating)
Grilled Shrimp - served over linguine pasta tossed with lobster sauce and Brussels sprouts $27.50 (If you like lobster)
Grilled Filet Mignon - served with potatoes Au Gratin, and beef demi-glace $30.50

Last time I ate at Coral Reef, I made my meal out of appetizers. I usually can't eat entree size portions. I have also been offered the option of making an appetizer an entree sized portion at WDW restaurants before. That might be a possibility for you as well.

Not to hijack this thread, but I have a question. I was planning on eating lunch there with my mom in Dec. I know they offer a lunch special that has the lobster soup but it has cheesecake as the only dessert and I really wanted to try the chocolate wave, so was planning on ordering the lobster soup, maybe the salad with hawiian sausage, and then my chocolate wave. I really want the lobster soup and chocolate wave, but can't decide what else to order with it. What exactly is hawaiian sausage? Is that the stuff they serve at 'Ohannas now? (Yuck)
