Help - we need a middle name!

My mom wants her middle name to be Ann (that's my mom's middle name) but then Julia's initials would be J.A.R. I don't think so!

HEY! I am a Julia Ann R - what's wrong with being a JAR?? :confused3

My DD is named Jessica Larae. It's her grandmother's middle name and alot of the girl aunts & cousins have it too. We get compliments on her middle name all the time. Julia Larae would sound so pretty too. (pronounce LA-RAY)

CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!!!!!!

I do like my first name but I think Julia Stefanie sounds a little funny. :)
My first daughter already has my middle name so we can not use that again. Honestly Julia was the only girl's name dh and I liked! :)
Yes - I know we are being difficult! haha

I disagree :sunny: All of my children have their Dad's name as a middle name and DD has my name as a middle name, as well. Our parents thought we were kooks, but I think it's a neat family tradition and one that our kids plan to carry on with their own names.

Btw--I like Julia Stephanie a lot :goodvibes

Cathy--Mom to John George Christopher, Eleni Catherine Georgette, and Christian Thomas George

Don't forget to practice shouting it so you know how easily it'll come out when she's in trouble. :teeth:

Julia Jayne

LOVE Julia Jayne! (coworker of mine has a daughter, Jayna...pretty spelling with the 'y' in the middle!)

and about the shouting...for YEARS my brother actually thought his name was:

"G** Da** it, son of a *bleep*...DAVID!!!"

heheheh

I wouldn't worry to much about what her initials spell out. My sister's spell
DMV, the only person who ever noticed besides her was a lady who worked for the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicle), she had asked my sister to sign her initials and when she did the lady said no hon not our initials yours. My sister told her thoes are my initials. :teeth:

I like Julia Rose

I really wouldn't worry about what her initials spell- no one will notice. My sister was G.A.S., then she got married. Now they are G.A.G. I just don't think initials are a big enough worry to factor in, especially if you like the name Anne.
I disagree. I knew a girl whose intials were PIG. And yes the kids found out and that name stuck. I would not use any names that start with vowel.

How about Anna Julia R. You can then make her name A. Julia R. and call her Julia.

I like Julia Rose :flower:

That is the name that Dh has picked out if we ever have a girl :)

My daughter's name is Julia Kathryn. I like what they mean together too - Julia = youthful and Kathryn = pure.

Oh, if only I'd get chances like this with my children, they never ask for suggestions:

Julia Emily
Julia Delaney
Julia Katherine

(I seem to like 3 syllable names for some reason)

I might have missed you posting this, but how many syllables are in your last name?

Middle names I like: Lucy, Katherine, Sabrina, Sophie.

Ann, Marie and Leigh are so commonly used as middle names. I wouldn't worry much about the JAR initials thing, though. It doesn't spell anything really insulting.

I like Marie. Goes with almost anything.

LOL that is so true

I am Lisa Marie.. my oldest daughter is Cassandra Marie Elaine and my younger daughter is Isabella Theresa Maria.

I llike Julia Mia, Julia Sophia. Just said it outloud so you like how it sounds when you have to yell at her :rotfl2:

my best friend is Julia Christine.

I like Marie! LOl..but that is cause I am bias...DD's middle name is Marie after my sister who died of leukemia when she was 3 (DD was due on her birthday)

~kinda OT, but goes with the name thing..I knew a girl when I was a kid...her middle name was Gay...she had a formal first name so everyone called her Gay...well..she married years later....she now goes by her formal first name...

Her husbands last name was Butts

can't say I blame her!

I love the name Julia. my cousin named his daughter, Julia Kate

Julia Melynn?(said like Ma-lin)
Julia Leigh
Julia Christine
Julia Kathrine
Julia Faith
Julia alexandria
Julia Lenay
Julia Maria

I like the two syllable middle names. (keep in mind, I've got a southern accent, so I say most of these different then you will some will have more or less syllables when you say them)
I really like the Julia Melynn. But I also say julia different, probably. I say it Jewl-ya, not Jewl-e-a.

Julia Renee is a nice name. Don't worry too much about initials unless it's something really bad. My mom's initials are GMC. Even when she used her maiden name it was still GMC. Go figure!
