Help! We leave on Sunday & I have Strep

I woke up Thursday morning with a fever and horribel sore throat. The doctor confirmed I have strep throat. I'm still not feeling any better this morning. Thank goodnees I had started packing on Wed. Please send some Pixie dus my way so that I will get better and my 2 girls will not get it.

Also, is there an iron in the rooms? I don't think I am going to get everything ironed like I had planned.

Sorry that your not feeling well However the closer you get to the mouse, the better you will feel. Here is your pixie dust I see you are feeling better already.

When we went to WDW in 2006 we were at POP Century and they had an Iron and board. That is a value resort, so I am sure that your room will have one too. I don't know about off site.

As long as you started your antibiotics asap, you should be fine by Sunday - don't bother with ironing- you are going on vacation- what could need to be ironed? take care of yourself instead!

I agree! When I got an iron at my bridal shower, my Aunt (who knew me well) said she knew that it would be for display purposes only And she was right. It still looks brand new after almost 17 years of marriage.

I hope your medication kicks in soon and you are feeling better today. I am sure you will Have a Magical trip

Would your Dr prescribe precautionary antibiotics for your little ones? Mine has done it for me before a trip just in case. Only give it at the first sign that they may be getting it too.

This is what I was thinking. With strep, my doctor doesn't fool around and has always told me that if anyone else was starting to feel bad, he would call in a prescription. One time he put the whole family on a one dose antibiotic because my DS kept getting strep.

My husband gets strep once a year or so and Dkids have NEVER had it & I haven't had it since childhood. I second the other poster's idea of possibly bringing prescriptions/medications on trip in case family members need it. At very least, drs. phone number, tylenol, etc. You have nearly 3 days to recover. Disney is the best medicine I know of!

When my son gets strep, his dr always gives him "THE SHOT". He always feels better within 24 hours. Is that an option?
