Hi everyone,

Me and my partner are still really struggling on what holiday to pick for next year.

We are both in our mid 20s and we just come of the Disney Magic around the med not long again

However we loved it that much we don't no wether to cancel our all inclusive 2 weeks in Mexico next year and do a Disney cruise instead as it was that magical

What would you do ? 2 weeks in cancun, the med cruise again which was amazing or Norway which is really tempting

We were really tempted to do Norway but I still don't no how cold it will be really, I mean can you go swimming etc. is a cruise still the same if raining etc. we live in Scotland so some sun would be nice lol. Or even the med cruise again as that really was hot. Or would u do Mexico

We are sooo stuck and trying to decide the last two weeks now. And still can't

We plan to do Mexico next May but then we will get back and when June comes I'll be like we could of been on the cruise lol. So hard

Anyone got any advice would be great

Thanks again

I would choose a Disney cruise over 2 weeks in Mexico any day. But I have to say you are most likely not going to get a balanced response to this question, given your audience ;)

Given those options, and based on what you included about yourself, I would go to the AI in Mexico. Here's why:

You already did the DCL med cruise
The Norway cruise would be fantastic, but the weather may be too cold for your liking.
We visited an AI south of Playa del Carmen a few years ago and loved it.

For you, my vote is Mexico.

Go warm! You can visit the ports of Norway on your own for much cheaper since you are already in the area. No need to pay for an expensive transportation ticket (the cruise ship). Also other cruise lines are in the area that might be cheaper so you can still do Mexico AND a cruise! :rolleyes1

How about looking at doing a DCL cruise in the Caribbean? Then you would get the DCL, different ports, and warm weather. You could maybe do a shorter cruise (like 3 or 4 day) and a week at Mexico? Get the best of both worlds that way.

Yeah we did think about that but flight and Mexico and cruise was out of the budget so it really needs to be one of the three

God it's soooo hard

Personally my wife and I just can't sit around which is what we find we do when we go to an AI resort. I love to read and relax but I have the need to be busy. Cruising just works for us, different destination every day and plenty to do onboard the DCL ships when at sea. Between your destinations since you have taken Norway off the list due to climate and have already done the Mediterranean that would leave the Caribbean for my vote. So many islands and each one has different offerings. We have sailed on 4 Caribbean cruises and 1 Alaska (that is a must do again cruise) and haven't hit a single island twice. Just so many options in the Caribbean.

So will Norway be cold still in June

I mean will many people be swimming sat out in the sun on deck ?

There are awesome trip reports you can read. The one I read had some crazy snow pictures and I believe that was June or July?!? I would say that the weather may very well be cool to cold. I just don't think Norway is a place you go for hot weather.

What does everyone do on sea days if it is cold or even raining

As everyone was catching the sun or in the pool on Our last cruise

Cold is a relative term. We did the Baltic cruise the beginning of June. We're from Texas. For us, it was cold. You couldn't have paid me to get in the pool, and we were only on the deck with jackets for most of the cruise. I suspect Norway would be similar, even later in the summer. Google average temps for the area you are looking at.

If you want warmth and sun bathing, consider either Mexico, or look to Adventures by Disney. There is a Greek tour that is not too expensive (relatively!) that would give you sun and also Disney level of service. I know that's not exactly what you asked, but you might not be aware of that option. There's an Italy tour that is a bit less expensive.
