Going out of my mind trying to figure what to book for the beginning of October. Do I go for the Disney 5 + 2 deal at a moderate (POFQ OR PQR) booking the plane separately or do I book a DD hotel (Best Western, Royal Plaza or Holiday Inn)buying a pass separately? Prices seem rather the same...not sure with the US$ vs Cnd$.
And what's the difference between the PH plus and the UPH? can I get the UPH with a DD hotel?
First time in WD since 1977 (yeah! very long and I don't remember it!). I'm going with my mom. Two adults alone...What are the advantages between on site and DD hotel? Have to decide in the next 24hrs as the 5+2 deal ends tomorrow the 28th...please I could really use your help...

Hi!

You have lot's of questions, so I'll try a stab at the park pass question.
UPH are essentially lengt of stay passes, good from the time you check -in until midnight of the day you check out. PH passes are are used by the day, and the days never expire. So let's say you buy a 6 day pass, but you decide not to go the parks one of those days, you could use the spare day left on the pass next year or 5 years from now.

I believe that you can only purchase UPH passes if you are staying on-site, not in DTD. The advantage to the UPH, is that is allows you to travel to the water parks, and to Pleasure Island as much as you want during your stay. If you don't intend to visit a water park or Pleasure Island, than the PH passes are generally a better value. But in the case of the 5+2 package, you'll just need to price everything out and see which one suits your budget.

Good luck!

Thanks Lisa! Here's the result: finally booked the 5+2 package with WD site...did more search and comparison...checked CAA (cnd version of AAA) and it would have cost more to go separate...plus it's less hassle....just the flight to book now but that will come later!
Will be staying at POR second week of November! Requested Oak Manor...hope we get it...a bit scared with the renovs going on...if anyone has news please pass it on!
