help w/ video from phone to computer

I took video from Jonas Bros. concert with my phone, an LG AX500 (swift), which has a microSD card.

I have inserted the card into my computer and I can pull up all the still photos but none of the videos. My computer error message says "Windows needs to know what program recorded this" or something like that.

Does anybody know how to access these videos?

What format are the videos recorded in? Look at the file extension (the letters after the . in the file name) and report what those are.

Another thing to try is to open the software on the computer that you want to use to view the videos, then try to open the videos through the software (not just by double clicking on the video files).

Well, I'm going to guess that the files have an .mp4 extension, which means they are MPEG-4 files that won't play in Windows Media Player. As a result, you'll have to use Apple's Quicktime or something else to view them. You should be able to download Quicktime player for free from the Apple site. Then either open Quicktime and use it to open the videos or associate the .mp4 file extension with Quicktime and it will automatically launch that software when you double-click on .mp4 files in the future.

That's weird. Quicktime should support .3g2 playback. I'd make sure that you have the latest version of Quicktime and, if not, download and install the updated and try again.
