I was just wondering if the different Magic Your Way packages, like the regular, premium, or platinum, were any different food wise (how much food in a day). Thanks. :)

We purchased the dining plan which allowed one counter service, one snack and one table service meal per day.

Man oh man, did we eat a lot of food. We are not really big breakfast eaters. We drive in so we are able to bring along light breakfast foods (pop tarts, package muffins, etc.) which we eat as we are getting ready. We ate a counter service lunch around 11:30 or so. Used our snack credit around mid afternoon. We used our table service meals at dinner. By the time dinner rolled around, we had toured the parks efficiently, were fairly tired and were ready for a nice sit down meal.

We paid a little over $800.00 for 3 adults and 1 child for the dining plan. I saved all of our receipts just to see if it paid for itself. I tallied up all the receipts (I lost some of the snack receipts) and we ate over $1,400.00 worth of food!

Some mornings, we slept in and I used our counter service meal for a late breakfast. We skipped lunch and had a nice dinner. Also, we stayed at the CBR and they allowed us to purchase cereal and milk and we just used a snack credit for both.

I hope this helps in your decision making process, Lisa

If you are going without kids, the premium is the best package. We have used it twice already and will again on our next trip. It includes your accomodations and park passes plus:

1. 3 meals a day at any restaurant except for Victoria & Albert's. You can have 3 TS if you want or a mixture of TS and CS in the same day. There is no limit like with the regular dining plan. You get 1 drink, appetizer, entree, and dessert per person.

2. Cirque du Soleil La Nouba tickets

3. Unlimited recreation & behind-the-scenes tours

Magic Kingdom® Tours

Disney's Family Magic Tour
Disney's Keys to the Kingdom
Disney's "The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains"
Mickey's Magical Milestones
Epcot® Tours

Behind the Seeds
Gardens of the World
Hidden Treasures of World Showcase
Simply Segway® Experience
The "UnDISCOVERed" Future World
Disney's Animal Kingdom® Tours

Backstage Safari
Wild by Design

4. Private fireworks viewing at MK and Epcot

5. Unlimited childcare

6. Admission to Grand Gathering experiences

7. Mini golf, sea raycers, Planet Hollywood $15 voucher

we did the platinum package a few years ago. Yes, the package is great with everything that it includes, but it also includes 3 sit down meals a day. That is a lot of food and a lot of time taken out of your day at the parks for eating. If you are okay with that, than I say go for the premium or platinum plans! Just plan on buying bigger size pants to wear on your way home!!! :lmao:

We did the Platinum Plan in December, the dining works in the form of credits, you get 4 credits a day per person, that can be used as meals or snacks - so dining at Victoria and Alberts is 1 credit, dining at Pecos Bills is also 1 credit, getting a popcorn is also 1 credit. They did not distinguish between the snack and the meal credits.

There was a lot of food! Having sit down meals cuts into your park time.
