help w/annual pass discount

We have booked and paid for our WDW vacation 11/28-12/5 at The AKL through WDW. We also have our Disney Dining Plan and 8 days park hopper tickets.How would we get the $75 room discount. We don't yet have an annual pass so I would suppose that would be first. So we purchase an AP for one person would they then credit us back the 8 day park hopper tickets for 1 person plus the $75 per night at the AKL. That would be $250 + $525 for a total of $775 credit all for the price of one annual pass. Is this how it would work.

Sorry but you can't combine an annual pass rate with the dining plan or MYW tickets. Annual pass rates can only be used for room only reservations. Once you add the tickets you've become a package and the annual pass rate can't be applied.

Since the only way to get the dining plan is with a package you might be better with just staying with what you have. But you can consider getting an annual pass, swapping over to a room only reservation and buying the Disney Dining Experience-DDE card which will give you 20% off on alot of dining.. It might work out for you better in the long run or it might not. You'll have to juggle the numbers and see.

I didn't think that's the way it worked. Oh well. maybe they will do a discount later for GP.

The other poster is correct, you cant do the dining plan combined with the AP discount -- that one is for room only.

I would first suggest you work the math to see what is best for you.

AP + DDE + room discount vs. MYW package w/dining

For some the dining plan is a must. Personally we don't get it & much prefer using the DDE.

Yep it's all in the numbers. I'll be doing the free DDP in September. Once I'm there I'll upgrade my MYW pass into an AP then in December I'll do the AP rate with the DDE. But I still am not sure 100% which would be better in the long run. However if I go one more time on that AP like I hope to the AP will work out much better for me.
