How exactly does this work at the Pepper Market? Is the 10% "service fee" added to your totals or is it added to the $11.50 voucher?

What I mean is, if I buy $30 worth of food I have to pay a $3.00 service fee regardless of using the voucher, right? Just want to be sure. Do they bring you drinks and seat you or just seat you for the 10%. This seems a bit odd, but oh well. Thanks for the info!

If you eat at Pepper Market, you will be given a "ticket" which you take up to various counters and have stamped indicating which food you obtained. With a voucher you are entitled to a drink (your waitperson will actually stamp your ticket for this), entree, side and dessert. When you are done eating you take your stamped ticket to the cashier and hand over your voucher. Then you are done. You do not pay the 10% service fee-- it is covered in the cost of the voucher. What happens is that the cashier rings up your bill with the actual cost of the food, then tax and tip are added. This total might be $25, but that does not matter-- the voucher covers the entire bill. The tip still is given to the waitperson, by the way, but you don't have to personally pay it on top of the voucher cost.

Does this explaination make sense?

Just an added note, if you buy anything else that isn't included on the voucher (for example, a kids meal), then you will have to pay the 10% gratuity on that portion. But not on the voucher portion.

You can get the food to go and sit out on the patio area to eat and this eliminates the automatic tip.

But the people in front of us had to argue to get the 10% off..it seems that is the default.

We add some $$$ to the tip, since the waiter only gets 10%..which we don't think is enough, since he brings and refills our drinks and keeps our table clean. He also will guide you through using the vouchers with their "ticket" system. By the way, even though your meal comes with a side, they also allow you a side. We usually get the tossed side salad and bread in addition to the grilled special.

You can get a smoothie or speciality coffee as your beverage selection with the voucher(any non alcoholic drink) at the Pepper Market. We found the vouchers to be a terrific deal there.

Although sometimes they say no to the smoothie, since they may consider that a frozen drink. Last two times, we couldn't get one.

We used the vouchers twice last week and luckily for my kids, who were craving "Pina Coladas", they let us use them for the smoothies. We weren't able to use them for additional "sides" though! There's that Disney consistancy at work again.;)

We had a great experience at Pepper Market with vouchers. The staff were very helpful in accomodating our plan to split meals (6 people sharing 3 vouchers). After figuring out the scheme of the place, we got 3 big meals, 3 sides, 3 desserts and 3 drinks (the drinks were served by the staff). Went to the cashier at the end and had no issue with a 10% service charge. Great food and great service.

Thank you all so much! I am gonna order me a bunch:crazy:
Seriously, that sounds like it will work out perfectly for us. We are staying at CSR and my DH & DS are BIG eaters so this should be great!

Thanks!

Our family me, DH, our DS 2 & 3, went to DW for the first time in Sept. We had a wonderful experiece with the vouchers at Pepper Market. DH got the most expensive steak meal & I got the Chinese combo platter (we're big eaters!!), and both of my boys got a kids meal. Each one of us had a soda, DH & I had pie, he had a smoothie. When I went to pay the bill I had two vouchers and had intended on paying for the kids meals & the smoothie. The cashier was confused & called a manager. The manager came over & re-calculated our bill. He made the kids meals appitizers, and considered the a smoothie a dessert, and didn't charge us for the kids sodas (unless they were inclued with kids meals?) All in all our bill was right around $68.00 and we just used two vouchers & didn't have to pay a penny. On top of that we were stuffed & still were unable to finish our food!!

Are these the Hotwire vouchers you guys are talking about? Sorry, haven't been on this board lately. If so, which one? We like Pepper Market. Diana

Did you use the Quick and casual vouchers? Becasue they dont' incude appetizers. If you used the lunch ones (about $30 each) they would have included appetizers.

We also had very favorable experiences at Pepper Market with the vouchers. Like others have mentioned, we were also allowed kids meals as appetizers on 2 seperate occasions. However, the last time we were there (end of November) we were not allowed a side with a meal. We really didn't need one anyway. And my kids have always gotten frozen drinks. I guess it all comes down to the interpretation of the person at the checkout.

Either way, I find these vouchers to be the best value.

Yes we actually did use the Quick and Casual vouchers and they still counted the kids meals as appetizers.

We recently returned from WDW and WOW what a great deal at Peppermarket. My dh and I ate there 3 times - we got a smoothie every time, also appetizer and entree. The staff here are absolutely awesome too! Hope you enjoy!
