My 16-year-old cousin and I are going to be attempting WDW47 in a couple of weeks, and while we think we have everything scheduled well, we have a few questions that would help us with our planning. :)
  • We know we won't have time to stop and eat, but we're hoping to grab snacks and eat along the way. If we pick up a soft pretzel or something, is it okay to eat it while waiting in line for a ride? I'm pretty sure food is allowed in outdoor lines, as long as we finish by the time we reach the front of the line, but can we eat while waiting in indoor lines, also? Also wondering if we're allowed to eat on outdoor attractions like the MK Train, Peoplemover, or AK Wildlife Express Train?
  • We're using Disney buses for transportation and I wanted to make sure there are buses that go park to park at every park. And do these run just as often as the buses to the resorts? Every 20 minutes or so? Specifically, we'll be needing buses:
    • Epcot to Animal Kingdom
    • Animal Kingdom to Hollywood Studios
    • Hollywood Studios to Magic Kingdom (at HS closing time. Might do a bus to Contemporary/Poly/GF instead if it's faster here.)
  • Do any attractions close during Hollywood Studios fireworks? I seem to remember Toy Story Mania used to close during Frozen fireworks awhile back. Does that still happen? If all goes well, we'll be done with Toy Story Mania and finishing up at Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster by fireworks time, so that won't be an issue, but checking just in case. :)
  • Does anyone have an experience with the new Kali River Rapids Single Rider test? We're hoping that's still an option for us the day we race. Any idea of the wait time we're looking at as single riders would be super helpful.
  • Edited to add one more question: We're using exact ride duration times from the Touring Plans website to plan. Does anyone know if those wait times are only for the ride itself, or if they include the time spent in the pre-show as well? I assume most aren't including the pre-show, if there's a bit of a wait in between the pre-show and the ride (like Dinosaur, Test Track, Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Haunted Mansion). But maybe rides like Ellen or Mission Space, where you go directly from the pre-show to the ride vehicle, do those include the pre-show in the ride duration time?
Thanks, all!!!

- There are park to park buses. Not sure how long the wait will be.

- TSMM no longer shuts down during SW fireworks. The launch site has changed so Pixar Place is not a fall-out area.

That's a relief that we don't need to worry about TSMM, thanks so much! I hope we're okay for the buses - we figured 30 minutes per park hop. We know some hops might take longer than that, but we'll try and make up time in the parks.

Do you intend to do all of the MK attractions after Hollywood Studios closes? I interpret your order as Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom based on the buses you asked about...is this right? I don't see how that provides enough time for all of MK.

Oh, no! We're starting at MK at 8:00am and knocking out a bunch then. I just didn't ask about transportation for that leg because I know we'll be taking the monorail from MK to EP for that park hop. We've got a schedule with every ride fit in, but just BARELY. Not a lot of room for any delays, but we're hoping for no rain and no ride breakdowns. And we'll try to use FP+ as much as possible all day to cut wait times a little, although we're not counting on a ton of FP+ availability later in the day. But it'll be nice if we can get a few extra FP+ in the evening to help us along!

That makes a lot more sense :) Good luck!

I just saw this post because I would like to attempt this someday. Did you make it? If not, what would you do differently? If so, what tips helped you the most?

Because this thread is over a year old and the OP has not posted for a number of months, closing.
