I love Joseph. It's classic. Not a name that's heard often. I agree it's a strong name. I like really traditional names. My second choice would be Ryan.
Actually, Joseph Ryan Tamble sounds pretty good to me!
I had a friend whose parents hated Ali, but liked Allison, they named her Allison Jeanne Last so she could be A.J. if a nickname was needed. You could go with Joseph Robert or something.
I like them all but here is my thinking, if you always call Lucas Lucas then pick Joe or Jack simply because if you are saying, "these are my children Lucas and Jack (Joe/Joey) it is easier to say. If you call Lucas Luke, then any are fine but I would lean toward either Ryan or Joseph because Jackson is more popular. Ryan was pretty popular for a while but I haven't come across any Ryan's in the kids' classes or the surrounding classes (well any from 8th grade down to kindergarten in their old school even)
We had a hard hard time naming our little guy. We wanted to name his Jackson but his middle name was going to be Michael so that was just not working. Luke was high on our list as well and was even what we picked for a while there.
Sooo i would go with Jackson and call him Jack. Jack and Luke sound TOO CUTE together!!
I voted for Joseph. My dear nephew is named Joseph, so I am a little bias towards the name. His mother wanted us to call him Joey when he was younger. The entire family flat out refused to call him Joey.
They are all good. I think Joseph is one that stands the test of time. Pick a name that will sound good after "President", "Supreme Court Justice" or "Microsoft CEO".
Ryan and Jack are too common for my taste. once he enters school, no one will call him Jackson anyways. Joseph is a great name- I like Joe, Joey, or Joseph. It's not very common, yet, not weird.
First of all, let me say how refreshing it was for me to open this up expecting to see "unique" names like I so often do in posts like this. not that their bad, just not my style-I was happy to see Joe, Jack and Ryan! LOL
On the down side, they are all so good, it's hard to pick just one, but I think I am going to have to go back and vote for Ryan.
Joseph is my #2, but I do like the name Joey, if I didn't like all the nicknames I would discard the name, I think.
I love Jack as well!

MAJOR ditto!!!!! Ever other boy these days is a Jackson and Ryan isnt far behind - Joseph is classic and whats old is new now!!!
BUT, they are all great and your boy will be SUPER happy w/ whichever you pick!! (My sister did once point out that having THE popular name can be a really cool thing to the kid humself...it's we parents going nuts for the uniqu name.) CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
