We are considering buying points on the resale market. We really like Beach Club for several reasons including the location and pool. One of us is in a wheel chair and it is nice to not have to deal with getting the chair on the bus to go to Epcot and MGM. Do we need to have this as our home resort or is it easy to book rooms only 7 months in advance?? Also has anyone dealt with A Timeshare Broker and Jaki Apetz??

Needing BCV as your home resort is really dependant on when you are thinking of going most. If it is a high use time of year, for the Beach Club Villas - like the Food & Wine festival, the 11 month booking window is pretty important. You will also hear on these boards often to buy where you want to stay. There is a lot of merit in this, but you will no doubt get many opinions and learn a lot from these boards. You've come to the right place.

As for the resale market, we bought originally through Disney then added on using the Timeshare Store (this board's sponsor) and we were completely satisfied with their service.

It really depends on the time of year you plan to vist most often. I certainly can see why having walking access to two parks would be a big advantage to someone in a chair. I would recommend you look for BCV as your home resort. Disney migth also have resales available, but I suspect they have a waiting list. I would talk to all resalers as well as Disney if you are looking into BCV.

the bus drivers at WDW are excellent. They are all well trained in wheelchair!!!

and you WON'T have a problem at any DVC resort.

Mother has to have one at WDW and the bus drivers are just superior!!!!

Sometimes the water level is down and wheelchairs can't get on the boat. So you may find yourself on a bus anyway. (the only time that the Epcot resorts got a bus to Epcot or Studios was when the water level was too low to allow wheelchairs on the boat)

Now I think that WDW controls the water level better so this shouldn't be a problem any longer.

we go with OKW - the bigger rooms makes it easier.
