Okay - I am a big planner but don't want to be pinned down. I am getting a little worried about not having enough planned meals while we are there. A little history on us - we are going on a trip from my husbands company, staying at the beach club and doing a land/sea package in July. We have three small children (7, 5, and 2) and like to eat early.

Day One - arrive, do pools, company dinner with MICKEY :cool1:

Day Two - husband has meetings in the am, probably magic kingdom for the rest of the day (need breakfast (where to eat at the beach club? Fast and easy as I am on my own with three kids!), lunch and dinner decided this day)

Day Three - PSB in am (early), need lunch and dinner this day. Probably back at the magic kingdom, possibly Animal kingdom in am.

Day four - Ohanas for breakfast before heading to the boat.

So, I need help. I get a little worried about not being able to do what we want when we want to because of reservations but it sounds like it is easier to walk to another part of the park than to wait two hours in July with three kids. So with all of this in mind, please help me out!!!

ThANK YOU!!!!

Sounds like a fun trip you have planned!! I have not stayed at the BC but I know they just opened the new Marketplace so that might be a quick and easy place for breakfast. Otherwise, a short walk to the Boardwalk and you can go to the bakery. If you're up for a character breakfast, Cape May is awesome!!!

Day 3 - I would just do something light at counter service for lunch since you have PSB in the morning (I suggest Tusker House if you are in AK or Columbia Harbor House if in MK).....for dinner, I'd do a PS to be safe. I'm guessing (we don't have kids yet) that nothing would be worse than to have 3 hot, tired and hungry kids and long lines everywhere. I guess my suggestion would be dependent on which park you will be at.....we love 50's in MGM, Beaches & Cream at BC is lots of fun and I'm sure your kids would love it but they don't take PSs....let me know if I can help further :)

Quick Breakfast - Yacht Club Galley, Bakery at the Boardwalk. I think Beaches and Cream offers a grab and go breakfast that would work great for you (cereal, fruit, danish, coffee and juice).

MK - CP is good for any meal. We also like LTT
For lunch sit down may the Plaza Restaurant
Another Dinner option take the boat from MK to WL and dine at WC.

AK - Tusker House is really the best restuarant at AK and it counterservice.
AKL - Bomas might be fun for dinner then afterwards stay for storytelling and some of the fun things they do in the lobby area.

Day One - Sounds like you have that one covered

Day Two - husband has meetings in the am, probably magic kingdom for the rest of the day (need breakfast (where to eat at the beach club? Fast and easy as I am on my own with three kids!), lunch and dinner decided this day) Cape May has a cute character breakfast and it's buffet so you just go up and get it..pretty much or get something at the Marketplace or maybe even order room service the night before (expensive, but you don't even have to leave the room until you want to) or try out the new Marketplace in the BC.

Day Three - PSB in am (early), need lunch and dinner this day. Probably back at the magic kingdom, possibly Animal kingdom in am.Since you'll be at PSB in the a.m. if you're going to be in the MK for lunch..I'd do counter service somewhere. If you're at MK in the PM I'd do either CP (i am not a fan though) or Liberty Tree Tavern. Did you mean you might be at AK in the pm? If so, then DEFINTELY do Boma for dinner. I haven't been there, but we are going this trip (we're doing Land/Sea the week after you are!).There are A LOT of peole who rave about it and I figure if that's the case, it must be pretty darn good!

Day four - Ohanas for breakfast before heading to the boat.I LOVE OHanas for breakfast! Are you planning to eat there pretty early? What time are you planning on getting to the boat? Since it's only a 3 night cruise we plan on getting to the ship around 10:00am so we can be one of the first on board. Since it's such a short cruise we want to have as much time on the boat as possible. I hear it takes between 1-1.5 hrs (if there's no traffic or accidents) to get to Port Canaveral from WDW, plus check in, etc. Because of this we were planning on leaving at 7:30-8:00am, but that's just us. We've never cruised before either. But just keep that in mind for that last day.

So, I need help. I get a little worried about not being able to do what we want when we want to because of reservations but it sounds like it is easier to walk to another part of the park than to wait two hours in July with three kids. So with all of this in mind, please help me out!!!I thought about things like that too, but IMHO..it's better to have reservations..that way you know you have a nice A/C place to eat in and you shouldn't have to wait. July it's VERY crowded and HOT!!! I absolutely hate the heat and so do my 2 girls (ages 9 and 2). Again, IMHO, in July..you should plan, but if you went in Jan. you'd be able to "wing it" more. I think you are right on the mark with what you are doing. It may not all go according to plan, but it'll be close. AND you won't have to worry later in 97 degrees where you are going to eat! Have a great trip!

Thank you so much for the help! I think I have decided to get a PS for dinner at MK for the second day. So, that day, would we be good to do the LTT? Where is it located in the park? What kind of food do they have? I figure we can figure out lunch as counter service. I'm not sure what CP is either as pbharris suggested. Sorry, I am new to all of this!

Grumpy - We have 8:30 reservations at O'Hanas. The ship is not able to board until noon so no need to leave Disney until at least 10:30. Since we (and you) are doing the land and sea no need to check in at the port as you can do it right at Disnay world at your resort. SO...we should have plenty of time to do the breakfast.

THANKS to all of you who have helped! Keep the suggestions coming! I will probably call tomorrow and book something since we are getting closer and closer! :Pinkbounc

LTT is a good choice....it's like a Thanksgiving dinner...yummy food :) CP is Crystal Palace :flower:

I like the idea of you taking the kids to Cape May Breakfast Buffet (character meal) on Day 2. You can get there early and the characters will keep the kids entertained. It's a buffet so you can be as fast as you want. It is one of my favorite restaurants for a buffet.

I think a buffet by myself may turn out like a nightmare. I would have to get all 4 plates at once as my children are too old to stay at the table themselves. So, I would need either a sit down or counter service. Room service is an option I suppose.... :confused3

Thanks! I just made "advanced reservations" for Liberty tree for the second day. So, now we have one priority seating per day at least. Only had two choices of times for dinner that day. I know it will be crowded everywhere at that time so at least we have dinner that night we won't have to fight the crowds too much!
