Hola all,

My wife and I decided to get the dining plan for our Jan 7 - 15 trip. We have a Magic Your Way package, with 5 single park days, are staying in the Pop Century, and will be traveling with our preschooler son. Please help us put together the best use of our park choice and dining plan!

Tuesday -
Wednesday -
Thursday -
Friday -
Saturday -

If possible, explain your choices! Thanks in advance!

Jimmy

Nice homework assignment, if someone wants to take it on, gratis.
This would require that someone else do the footwork for finding out the EMH for your trip, figuring out what sort of food you like, how much time you'd like to spend in the parks,, your usual hours of operation (naptimes, sleepytimes, energy levels, fitness levels, etc). Just know that you need to call now to discover what is available for dining times and locations (it's at a slow time of year...I expect you'll have options. Oh, and is this THIS January, or next?).

If I were you, I'd rough out a plan of which parks and which days. Consult disneyworld.com for operating hours, and Extra Magic hours, then decide whether those hours coincide with what you think your family can handle. Make your dining plans to coincide with the parks you will be in those days. Don't forget to look outside the parks (at the resorts) for dining options.

I really do hope this is for next year...it's short notice for major planning if it's this year. If it is for next year, good for you! You have a whole year to peruse these boards and get lots of advice. If it is a week away...you will still have a marvelous trip, and learn many new things for your next trip!

Go to the home page here...www.wdwinfo.com ...click on Dining, then Menus, to see if any of the restaurants appeal. Then call 1 407-WDW-DINE and see what's available. You can also see park hours and EMH on that site.
Have a blast!

Hi Jimmy!

I'll take on the tough assignment. I'm basing all of this on the fact that you have a preschool boy. I had two of them at one point!

Tuesday- Magic Kingdom (where else would you start!)
Table service meal- choice #1: Crystal Palace (with Winnie the Pooh and friends and choice #2: Liberty Tree Tavern (Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, others

Wednesday- EPCOT
Table service meal- choice #1; Coral Reef (eat next to a GIANT fish tank and choice #2: Garden Grill (Mickey, Pluto, Chip & Dale)

Thursday- Studios
Table service meal: Choice #1:50s Prime Time Cafe (eat in a 50s style dinner with hilarious waiters/waitresses) and choice #2:either Hollywood and Vine or Mama Melrose for Fantasmic Package

Friday- Magic Kingdom
Table service meal: see above or try Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary (very close to Magic Kingdom)

Saturday- Animal Kingdom
Table service: choice #1: Rainforest Cafe and choice #2: Tusker House breakfast (more characters!)

Okay. I hope your DS likes characters or this will have been done in vain.:scared1:

Of course, if this is for 2008 you may not be able to get reservations now for less than ten days out. Most people tend to make their dining reservations about six months out.

I would do include Bomas(check out the menu to make sure there is enough on th menu for your preschooler) and go early and check out this fabulous hotel and animals.

Crystal Palace in MK for Breakfast with Winnie ,
Tigger:)
