We will be at AS Music, March 27 to April 1 and my youngest daughter,6, has wanted, espicially over the past year, a Disney birthday, well, our APs expire 4-1-03.So I thought that we would celebrate her Bday, exactly 2 weeks early. So, that would be March 31, which is our last day at the parks. (We drive, so we will be leaving pretty early 4-1). I made PS at Cindy's for lunch adn had it noted that we were celbrating her Bday. But how about at the resort. Is there anyway, besides GiftsofALifetime that we can have something special done while we are at the parks that day. I don't mind paying for it. I really would like to do something. Maybe balloons and a card from a character? A cake? The room decorated? A gift delivered, really from us but "from" Mickey or something? Help me??!??!?! GiftsofALifetime things are really just too much. This is a last minute trip so not enough for alot. But enough to make it special....help me......ANY Suggestions? or things that you have done in the past????

Oh and if it helps...it will be me, DH, DD 10 and DD who will be turning 7.

Sorry sooo long....I talk toooo much (or atleast Hubby says so! LOL)

Be sure to pick her up a birthday button from city hall at MK. They will usually call a certain number too and Mickey will sing Happy Birthday to her.

I wouldn't expect too much. I celebrated my 50th at WDW last year and was thrilled to get a free dessert and birthday certificate from Askerhaus in Norway. I've been there for other birthdays and there was nothing. It's the luck of the draw.

I have ordered items from the Disney Florist. They can be a bit pricey but I have had very good luck with them. Or bring something with you and keep it hidden. Then ask the front desk to put it in your room while you are out.

Good luck.

we arrived on our sons birthday, a few years back. i mentioned it during checkin and within the hour someone was at the room with ballons and a card from mickey and minnie.

I have used the Disney Florist and they had my nephew a huge basket of goodies ready in our room at the Poly upon check-in!

Also, when we returned to our room after MNSSHP there were balloons and a card for him from Mickey...from the check-in desk! I think these were there because at check-in I reminded them that I was to have a special birthday surprise in my room upon check-in!

Also, you can get the number to call directly to CRT and talk to the chef to order a special birthday cake for your meal! We have done this several times at other places and the cakes are great! We have had custom made cakes with Mickey and Tinkerbell on them!

Just remind them when you check in for your PS that you have a birthday and the tables are always decorated with streamers and confetti!

Have fun!:jester:

If you're staying at AS, all you have to do is call back and have them note on your ressie that you will be celebrating a b-day and for whom. Ask if they can arrange to have a small cake in the room sometime after you check in. I have done this at other resorts ( although, come to think of it- they were deluxes) and they have always been wonderful about having a small choc. cake with ballons and a signed card from a favorite character there for the b-day persons enjoyment. And there has been no charge- at least so far!

At check in you could probably ask the CM if while you are at the parks to ask if they could deliver your gifts(that are from Mickey) to your room with balloons or what ever you would like for the surprise.

I am also planning a birthday trip, but not until January. I found some info on it on All Ears Net (www.wdwig.com) The main thing is to let them know on your reservations and pick up a birthday button at each of the parks. CM and Characters will give you that extra b-day attention. Also, maybe find a shirt or make one or a hat that say "its my birthday" or somenthing on that line. These are some of the ideas I have come across. Hope it helps.Have a great Disney Birthday.

i was in wdw in dec. a week before my bestfriend and her 3 year old son were there. i had planned on finding out what character breakfasts they were going to and have his christmas gift delivered there. i spoke to someone at guest services at ak to see if i could do that the day they were planning on going to the character breakfast there. the cm told me that the gift would have to be dropped off that day b/c they could not be responsible for the gift before then. i was going to have another friend who works in wdw drop off the gift for me that day, but it didn't work out. anyway, i don't see why you couldn't do something like this if you wanted to. good luck and have fun!
