I do not want to rent a car - not comfortable doing that. and I don't like to waste time.

So, I will be arranging for either town car, taxi, or shuttle. Who has advice on this? I read somewhere where one person prepaid for shuttle service only to wait at the airport forever for it to arrive.

What is the best way to do this? Arrange in advance? Try to get transportation upon arrival at LAX?

Which is the best company? Most reasonable and most reliable?

I need transport from LAX to Renissance Hollywood Hotel , transportation from Renissance Hollywood to the WB Studios and back , transport from Ren. Hollywood to Embassy Suites south in Anaheim and ES to LAX.

If I take a Taxi from the Ren hotel to WB Studios, how do I best arrange the return trip after the tour?

Really appreciate it. Please, no "rent a car" advice. I just can't handle the driving in an unfamiliar place.

For the Lax to Hollywood trip, you can take a taxi, a town car, a shared van shuttle or public transport. The price will run you from $100+ to about $20 for the most reasonable options. Fastest will be a taxi or town car, but this will easily cost $100+ with tip. FlyAway bus to LA Union Station, Redline metro to Hollywood will probably be the next fastest, the least expensive, but the most difficult as you will need to transfer with your luggage.

Hollywood to WB. Im sure you can find a bus route, but will most likely want to take a taxi. Having just relied on taxis in the LA area a few weeks ago, expect that anywhere other than your hotel will need to call a cab and you will have a 10-15 minute wait. I am sure the WB tour staff could call a cab for you. My experience was that a 4 mile cab ride cost about $20.

Hollywood to Anaheim. I would expect this to cost from $100+ to $50 for any reasonable options. The least expensive (other than a local bus) would be the Redline Metro train to Amtrak at LA Union Station with a cab from the Anaheim Amtrak station to your hotel. A town car or taxi will run likely you $100+.

Anaheim to LAX. The DL Express shuttle, other shared shuttle vans or a a town car are all possible options. The DL Express is $22 per person one way, but I believe you will need to transfer at the DL Hotel. I hope this helps. -- Suzanne

We just used DK´s Livery Service (you can find them on limos.com) and it cost us 88 dollars to go from the airport to our hotel on South Harbor. This included the tip.

Would use them again in a heartbeat.

Thanks!

Any other suggestions or tales of your experience getting around LA?
