My 3 kids got itunes gc from lots of people and we have almost $300 worth!!! Does anyone know of any places where you can exchange itunes gc's for other gc's???

Thx

We ended up in the same boat. Most of the sites that people will post don't exchange itunes cards. I have regifted many of the $15 ones for birthday presents when I know the kid would want itunes money. Otherwise, we are just hanging on to ours and eventually will use them I guess. DD just got an iphone, so maybe we will get some that way. You can sell them on ebay and get most of your money for them.

I found two sites that will take them...but they are a multipack worth $60 and they are offering $42....I'm just not sure...

You know that you can buy movies too; I know my DH goes through an amazing amount of Itunes cards each year (I get a lot of cards via rewards with my credit cards)

My daughter got $150 worth just for herself last year - I thought that would last her forever.

It lasted 6 months :rotfl2:

You'd be surprised how quickly they can go through things, even at just a buck or two at a time. It'd say hold onto them - just make it clear to everyone that they don't need anymore right now and to pick another type of gift card, if they want to give something like that, until they are gone. No sense losing the $ value you'd lose if you trade them in.

my boys can go through them like water! I prefer the $10 or $15 ones instead of the $50's. I like to load them periodically or they disappear in an instant! I once loaded a $50 and my ds10 bought "coins" or something for a game and all the credits were gone in a few days...ouch! Yes, we had a little "talk" after that one!

I would hold onto them, unless you can get full value somewhere. They will get used and never go to waste.

I think dd ended up with 150 this year too from us, grandparents, aunts etc. She's thrilled. As others have mentioned, they will absolutely get used over the year. She's a teen, so she'll have no problem spending it. They don't expire so I'd hang onto them or maybe save some of the smaller amount cards for gifts?

I'd keep them! You can buy movies, books, apps, etc! I know we blew through about $150 worth last year and I thought that would never happen!

Can you buy movies from iTunes...download to the pc...and then burn onto a disc to watch on the TV? I have a nice size computer monitor, but I prefer the comfort of the sofa or bed when I am watching a 2 hr movie....and we only have iPods and a HP Touchpad...no iPads.

My DD15 got about that amount last Christmas, she ran out and honestly her wish list this year was iTunes gift cards and fuzzy socks. lol She got more iTunes cards but not loads this time. I bet if you hold onto them you'll go through them faster than you think. :)

Oh my goodness, we would be in heaven here with that kind of itunes money! We could blow through that easily. I'd keep them, op, you might be surprised how quickly you spend it.

:rotfl2:My dd would flip to have that many ITunes cards!! She'd go on one heck of a shopping spree! And it probably wouldnt last all that long.

I dont know about burning the movie onto a blank dvd... but when our old dvd player needed to be replaced, I chose to replace it with a HDMI cable instead.

Now when we watch movies, we plug the computer to the tv with the hdmi cable... and that would certainly work with a movie in your itunes account

My dd13 would have been in itune heaven-lol!
I guess you can regift or try selling them but most people will expect you to sell them cheaper than the actual price. Hopefully yoou can get most of your money

Thanks for the info!

I usually give my kids a $25 0r $50 card before we go on vacation. They can load up on new apps and movies before the drive or plane ride.

It is very easy to go through $100 each. Just hold some cards back and give hem to the kids throughout the year. There are always new apps coming out.
