My DS, 14 and his (small) class will be traveling to WDW May 12 - 15 with 2 teachers. I remember reading somewhere that there is a teacher discount at one of these resorts. If the cost is similar to a budget, I would love to help them get rooms. They will need 4 rooms for the 10 of them. They have worked really hard all year to raise the money to get themselves to WDW. Can the 2 teachers reserve 4 rooms? What are the rates like? What does the teacher have to present at check in to get the teacher rates?

Thank you

Good Morning.. I asked our Dis specialist, Glo, on rates for teachers.. she gave me this info this am..

The rate at the Swan and Dolphin is $129 for teachers, for the dates that are listed on the FAQ. They need to have proof of being a teacher, certification, pay stub or a letter from principal on school letterhead will be acceptable. You are allowed to reserve up to 3 room per teacher. So with two teachers with proper documentation, you can reserve 6 rooms.

You can also refer to her faq sheet on the Swan and Dolphin by clicking here

There may be discount codes out for those times-you may be able to get a good rate at a value or moderate resort.

Check mousesavers.com periodically for information.

For some reason when I called the phone # I was given for "special" group rates at the ASMusic, for DS's band trip, the rates they quoted me for over 40 rooms was rack rate! As I told the CM, you'd really be better off looking for a code on Mousesavers, as a previous poster said, and booking through CRO.

I have been wanting to get back here to thank all of you for your help and suggestions, but our computer wouldn't let me on (Hmmm...maybe my DH who says I spend way too much time ont he boards). Now that it's back up I will be following up on some of your great suggestions. I will probably be able to get them a good rate at one of the AS's. I just got them $150 RT on air, so they think I am a genius. I will be working on rooms next. They participate in the Y.E.S. program already, so they get good prices on 4 day hoppers.

I will let you know if I find anything else exciting, but thanks to all of you!
