My kids really want to do a water park this trip. We're having a hard time picking between BB and TL. We have'nt been to a Disney water park since my DS was 4 he is now 13, and then we went to TL. My kids are DS13, DD10, and DD8, DH and I really feel like their finally at an age to really enjoy a water park, and my kids really want to go. We just need the expert advice of fellow disers to help us make the choice.

TIA :confused3

I think this is very tough. TL just added a master blaster slide which is a tube slide that shoots you uphill. On the other hand BB has Summit Plummit and the family raft ride.

If they like water rides, BB without question. The rides there are MUCH better than TL - they can entertain themselves all day long. Typhoon Lagoon is more relaxed - it's more of a chilling place, and there are very few decent rides. With kids that age, I would choose BB - it'll definitely tire them out!

No question about it, TL all the way. Your kids will love it there.

Blizzard Beach has more slides and rides, but all the guys I know, of any age, LOVE the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon.

I think you should sit your kids down and say, pick one: steep, fast slides or a wave pool?

I always dread answering this question because it's like asking which child is your favorite. They are both so unique that we always have to visit both. At BB, we love the slides. The Downhill Double Dipper, Toboggan Racer, and family raft ride, Teamboat Springs are some of our favorites. At TL, we love the wave pool and shark reef. We have not ridden crush n gusher, but have ridden one like it at Schlitterbahn and know what a blast it will be. Both are really great. We usually only spend about 3 - 4 hours at each and go to a park in the evening. We've planned 1 morning at BB and 1 morning and another afternoon at TL. I guess we probably lean more towards TL just because of the wave pool.

I agree with going to BB. We've been to both a few times. Unless you absolutely have to have a wave pool (and we are not big fans of them), the slides are better and will occupy your kids longer at BB. The snorkeling at TL is neat, but it only occupies a few minutes (altho I suppose you could do it repeatedly). My DD's are now 16 and 13 and have always preferred BB in the past. I personally think the theming is better at BB although both are well done.
