So I need some advice on this situation...My bf wanted to get me Wicked tickets for NY for a Xmas present, and tried for months, but was not able to. Well recently he found a ticket broker online...anytickets.com...and he saw they had tickets available for this upcoming weekend. He happened to see a set of CENTER ORCH tickets for 40.00 each...which of course is too good to be true, bc all the other ones were 125.00 each, he thought it might be a mistake but decided to take a chance and purchase the tickets since it is a ligit ticket broker. Well he got a call an hour after the order and was told it was indeed an error in the PRICE on their part and while they could not sell the tickets for 40.00 each they would give him THOSE tickets for 90 each. My bf said he was satisfied with that as long as they were the same CNTR ORCh tickets and the worker said YES. Well we got tickets in the mail a few days ago and I just noticed a day ot two after they were not CENTER seats but all the way on the side in the same row. Well we double checked my bf's confirmation emails and it said Center Orch on the original email...the second one did not include "center" it just said orchestra. When we called the company on sunday they said the supervisor was not in that we needed to speak to and to call back tommorrow but that we were right we should have got the center tickets. My bf called today and the manager Ryan we need to speak to was out and talked with another supervisor who said he would look into and call us back...an hour later(after trying to call him a few times as we were getting impatient) The supervisor said he spoke with Ryan and that he mad a note on the account that my bf agreed to different tickets! A total lie!!! While we understand we were getting these tickets for less than face value, we would never have agreed to the seats they sent us! My bf argued with the supervisor for 20 minutes who still would not do anything about it. He said he could call back tommorrow and speak with Ryan about it. I am so mad! The first email confirmation shows CNTR ORCH, and the second while it does not say Center it does not say left or right either and there are no seat #s given bc they sell them based on section and row and send out what seats they have available there. Ryan never even offered any other tickets to my bf, not even saying the center ones would be full price, he only offered to send the same tickets at a price lower than what they would have been sold for but higher than the incorrect amount listed. Anyone have any suggestions as to what we could do or say in the situation? If we don't get anywhere we will just go with the tickets we have. But even though they were $90, $20 each lower than the original face value of $110 each, it is alot of money and I am very passionate about theater and am very particular when making seating choices. Also both center and side orcestra are the same face value. Any suggestions? Advice?

Wicked is my favorite bway show EVER and I've seen a lot of them-

Most bway theaters are very small. Almost all views are good, yes, some are better than others but you can almost always see.

I say GO! Have an awesome awesome awesome time and think of me. :goodvibes I can't wait to see it again and it will definitely be in the mezzanene because I cant afford orchestra seats again :rotfl2:

Hi guys, next time check out Broadwaybox.com. I got some great discounted seats a couple of weeks ago to Hairspray. It was awesome. It's worth checking it out. Enjoy the show!

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to look into that next time...actually after much arguing and being lied to we were made an offer tonight. We called several times today and was told by a supervisor that the other supervisor Ryan we had to talk to was on the phone and would call us back....we were told that 2 or 3 times over a period of several hours....well the 3rd or 4th time we called back we talked to a regular rep and he told us Ryan had left 3 hours ago and got in a car accident. He left an hour before we called the first time and were told he would call us right back. We told the rep to have a manager call us back otherwise we were going to report them to the Better Business Bureai and dispute the charge with our CC....we felt bad he was in an accident but they should never haved lied to us....Well the other supervisor that before said je couldnt do anything for us called and apologize tonight and said he had seats in Center ORCh row R...6 rows closer and CENTER which is all we wanted. Guess he knew at this point his but was on the line...it is really sad the way we were treated and feel so bad about that accident...but they could have done this two days ago and it would have been resolved! Man I've worked in customer service for a long time and I have never experienced anything like this!

Call me a cynic - do you really think Ryan was in an accident? They've given you one excuse after another; I frankly wouldn't believe this one, either. In fact, did you ever talk to Ryan? Are you sure he even actually exists?

It's good that you really DID get the seats you wanted, finally.

You worked in Customer Service and you called again and again and again and again over the course of two days? Three times in one hour? A customer service rep, of all people, should know you get more flies with honey than vinegar. Honestly, I am shocked that they responded to that constant calling in such a positive manner.

Actually it was 3 days and I never said I called three times in one hour....I called three times over the course of several hours bc everytime we called we were told the supervisor was on the phone and would call us back in five minutes...five minutes and an hour is a BIG difference...and they told us that twice....also we are on a limited time frame bc the show is THIS friday...doesnt leave much time to get things straightened out. Also working in customer service...I am very patient, very understanding and very polite...but when I know someone is messing around, like they were, I will be very assertive....part of customer service is fixing errors....we were very patient for 2 days to try and get the error fixed, but they were not willing to fix it...and there is no way around it...that is not right...so I did what I had to do, unfortunately they put us in a situation where we had no other choice but to get a little more assertive. Anyway, it is all taken care of now, bc the supervisor who was not willing to help us before has new tickets on its way already...the supervisor apologized and admitted they he lied to us several times(only bc he got caught in it)...and that they were trying to cover up for the other supervisor...so obviously I made the right move and my instincts were right bc they were avoiding us and they were trying to pull the wool over our eyes.
