So I've finally persuaded my fiancée to go to Disneyland Paris :cool1:

We were thinking of going the end of November for my birthday but I've never been to Disneyland in the winter time so I was just wondering if all the rides and attractions are open and if it's worth going and that time of year or just wait and go next year?

I'm also wondering how much to bring spending money, does anyone have a rough idea of how much to bring there is just the two of us and we are going half board in the hotel Cheyenne for 4 nights and 5 days

Many thaks in advance :wizard:

Hi Jessyhearts :wave2: You probably would be better posting on the DLP board. Maybe one of the moderators can move you over.

Sorry I can't help but never been to DLP.

Hi,
I have been to DLP a few different times of year and to be honest my favourite time was the first week of December. It was so quiet, no que's for anything, all the Christmas stuff was up, they did a tree lighting ceremony every night, lit up the castle, it was honestly so magical at Christmas. Obviously it is very cold but if you prepare for that you will be fine. We also stayed at the Cheyenne and even when we arrived the lobby was all done up for Christmas. It was lovely. Bear with me and I will see it I can put a photo in!

Nope apparently not going to happen!!

Hope you have a lovely time,
Rach x

we have been at that time of the year, well actually it was the first week in December. It was COLD,VERY COLD!!!! It really took us by surprise how cold it was....so be warned on that one..take clothes warmer then you think you'll need!! ;)

It was very pretty with all the Xmas dec's going up everywhere I must say. It wasn't very busy but we did go mid week so that always helps.
As for spending money it just depends on if you are going to buy lots of things. It is very expensive in DLP, horrifically so infact. I remember we (DH and I) had an egg breakfast bap and a couple of hot chocolates in the park and it was something like £16!!!:scared1: The exchange rate was rubbish....

Not sure if the xmas dec's will be up at the end of November and they were not all up at the beginning of December either.

November is my favourite time of year to go to DLP, its so beautiful with the Christmas decorations in the main park, the snow on Main Street, and the extra Christmas additions to the parade. You usually get the extra Fantillusion parade in November too, plus Mickeys Winter Wonderland, Santas Grotto, tree and Castle lighting ceremonies every evening :cloud9:. Its a truly magical time to visit DLP.

Good luck planning Jessyhearts :santa:

We are going end November and I've never been at that time. I am worried now though that it is going to be too cold for my girls :sad2: after reading this. I knew it would be cold, but thought it would be 'ok' cold if you know what I mean....

Are we talking lots of layers or just thermals under jeans/top/fleece then coat? With gloves/hat etc.....? I hate wearing so many layers you can't walk and it takes you an hour to undress for meal/toilet break etc!! :scared1:

I guess you just can't tell - last year was probably OK, the year before, because of all the snow it was probably very cold .

we were there for the 1st December, 2009. It was cold enough for a thermal layer under our normal clothes, then winter coats, a scarf, hat (or earmuffs) and gloves. Neither me nor my DD needed ski-wear (although DD's winter coat that year was a ski jacket), but we did wear a couple of pairs of socks each under our boots.

Thanks (again!) Elaine, that was what I was hoping for!
