We are planning a cruise for Dec 2006. My TA just assigned 2530 and 2532 right near the elevators on deck 2. (cat 9 rooms). There is no report on the stateroom report list for these 2 rooms. I still have time to change - so fill me in!

I am guessing these would be incredibly noisy - please give me some guidance -asap. (I saw there was a Dave's list somewhere - what is that?) :sad2:

Thank you very much!!!

I have been in that location (near elevators) several times and never found it to be more or less noisy that anywhere else we have stayed onboard.

I would not worry, but maybe someone else has other input.

MJ

Hoping someone else can provide their input before my TA calls back today! ;)

I too have these 2 rooms booked for our Nov. cruise. I was originally assigned 2 other rooms...but then had them switched to 2530 & 2532 because they are located under the store! There is no noise. Checkout Dave's site that lists the noisey rooms! www.dcltribute.com and click on noisey rooms on the left!

Appreciate the url, too! Please let me know how your cruise goes!

I was in 2526 in June...the only time we had noise was when we dropped anchor in Cabo San Lucas. Other than that, it was very livable - no problems sleeping or anything like that.

Good luck,

DBinMV

We are always by the elevators..for convenience and we love it. We have never found them to be noisy at all.

We where in 2538 for our first cruise and it was great. Very quite and great location. I wouldn't worry. Have Fun!

We were in 2528 in Jun. Pretty quiet except when they were getting the area below ready for tendering. Otherwise, great location for elevators.

If they are connecting rooms on the Magic, we were in them 2 years ago. The only noise that concerned me, was when I heard my friends DD9 yelling, and I realized they had probably already heard our kids yelling earlier. Oh well.

We choose the stairs elevators on purpose (we stay deck 6 aft). Its so convienient for getting anywhere and one of my least favorite parts of cruising are the little teeny tiny hallways in the stateroom areas.

Reading these posts make me feel a lot better! :flower:

This will be my in-laws first cruise - and I am handling all the planning. Would HATE to start it off with a loud room. Not that that would ruin a vacation on DCL! :cool1:
