I didn't know where to post this so if you have to move it, by all means please get it out of here.
It all started late last Friday night. Nothing was on TV but a slew of Informercials. The first Informercial I came to really caught my attention: The Carol Burnett Show on DVD. Man, I want this. Does it get any better than Harvey Korman and Tim Conway? What a great show. Right now though, it's all about paying off the late November Disney trip. Sorry, Carol and Friends.
The second Informercial up was Time-Life's "The Golden Age of 50's Pop", hosted by Pat Boone. One of the first songs previewed was Perry Como's "Magic Moments". Now, I had heard this song before as it appeared in the movie "This Boy's Life" with Robert DeNiro and Leonardo DiCaprio, but now it was like I was hearing the lyrics of the song for the first. And in that crazy, late night, I-should-really-just-go-to-bed moment, I had a sort of epiphany: "This song just says Disney."
Time can't erase the memory of

Filled with love
I suddenly had visions of whistling along with the song when we drive to WDW in two months (Even though I know as soon as this song comes on, DH will kindly ask that I put on something else). I had visions of filming our day in Magic Kingdom, uploading it to YouTube and having "Magic Moments" as the soundtrack. It's a perfect Magic Kingdom song ... It has the word magic right in the title! Walt Disney had to be a Perry Como fan ... I just feel it.
But now ... I'm Perry Como-obsessed. I'm searching his songs on iTunes, looking up vids on YouTube, dying to see that Time-Life informercial again. Of course, now every one of Perry's songs reminds me of Disney. I haven't downloaded anything yet, but when I do, "Magic Moments" is one for the Disney Playlist. It'll break up the monotony. A nice little break in between "Hakuna Matata" and "When You Wish Upon a Star".
