...does that mean an airport shuttle? Ironically, I'm looking into the same situation as the poster who asked about taking an earlier flight, shuttling to a hotel, then back to the airport the next day to catch DME to the resort....

Better flight time, more time at Disney, better flight price, etc....I looked on Travelocity to find a cheap hotel for that one night, and some say "airport shuttle" and some just say "shuttle" with no explanation. I don't want to have to call a dozen different hotels long distance to ask which ones have free airport shuttles...:confused3

I want something fairly cheap, otherwise it kills the financial savings of the cheaper flight, kwim?

TIA!!

Check the hotel
s own web site to see if it has airport transportation.

If the hotel is near the airport - which sounds like the case - then yes, it's an airport shuttle. MCO is about twenty+ miles from Walt Disney World; as far as I know, there are no hotels near the airport that shuttle guests to any theme park.

Awesome! Thanks....I ended up looking on Hotwire, they don't tell you which hotel it is until after you've booked. I got Travelodge at the airport, WITH shuttle, and added parking for a week in Detroit for less than the park/sleep/fly price there, PLUS can take the cheaper flight and get 3/4 of a day more at Disney now!!:cool1::banana:

All these savings are adding up, and making it an even better surprise for dh!!!:dance3::cheer2::dance3::cheer2:

Do not use Priceline or Hotwire or other non-refundable agent where you don't know where or what the hotel is in advance, unless airport transportation or other specific details are stated before bidding or booking.

Even that's not a guarantee. Once we booked a hotel, in San Francisco, that advertised a shuttle. However, our plane didn't get in until 11 PM local time, and the shuttle stopped running at 10. We had to take a cab to our hotel.

PL doesn't guarantee a hotel in an airport zone will offer any shuttle. Hotwire lists shuttle as an amenity but doesn't guarantee the shuttle will run 24/7 or that it will be complimentary.

That said all the 3.5*, and I think all the 3* PL hotels in the MCO airport zone offer a complimentary shuttle, 24/7. I'm pretty sure some of the 2.5 and 2* hotels only offer limited shuttle service.

Thanks everyone! Thankfully, the hotel I got through Hotwire offers 24-7 shuttle. I'm in good shape!:thumbsup2:cool1:
