According to a past participant, my school does not support the College Program at all and (according to her) my only option would be to withdraw for the quarter. She's not the only one who's done the program, though, and other internship programs (in New York, Philadelphia, etc) that take place during the school year receive credit.
I know it's highly unlikely that any of you are familiar enough with my college to give me specific advice, but regardless - I'm wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation and somehow gotten credit? If I'm forced to withdraw and thus disqualified from my merit scholarship then the fall 2010 program simply won't be an option for me, which absolutely and completely devastates me. I've been so involved with various Fall 2010 groups here and gotten to know so many wonderful people.
I don't understand why the CP gets NO credits and other programs do. Furthermore, we are allowed to enroll in courses at nearby Western Michigan University, which does recognize the program. I'm wondering if it's feasible for me to get credit from them and transfer it back to my school?
So the moral of the story is - what can I do to gain my school's support??
