Help!!! Rides for a 2 year old!!

I will be traveilling to WDW next Dec 09 with my daughter who will have turned 2 at the time of our trip. I was wondering if anyone can help me with some information regarding what rides I can and can't take my daughter on. I know the obvious ones like space mountain (which will be closed) and Expedition Everist, but what about like Buzz Lightyear and Toy Story Mania. Help. Thanks in advance.

Those two don't have a height requirement. Basically if there isn't a height requirement than anyone can ride.

Fantasyland will have lots of rides for her to go on. Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, ISAW, Carousel, Dumbo, Tea Cups, Speedway, etc.

There is a link somewhere for the height requirement. You just type in how tall your DD is and then it will list the rides she can't go on.

Your DD can ride on more rides than not. Click on the link below and go to the Magical Beginnings Parks Map on the right - it will give you all the rides they can go on. They are SO MUCH FUN TO BRING when they are 2!!!! Have a great time!

We started taking our kids when DD was 20 months, she is now 4. Put it this way there is way more that they can do than things that they can't. Disney is so good at developing rides that everyone can go on that it makes other theme parks really annoying to go to with kids.

My 6 month old son went on most of the rides last year and had a great time.

We have been with a 2 year old, then again when he was 2.5, then our last trip he was 4 and his brother turned 1 while we were there. I was amazed at how many rides they could go on at 1 yo and 2 yo. They had a blast and it 1yo and 2yo are great ages to take them! Have a great time!

Our 3 month old DS's very first ride was SE in EPCOT. He also marveled at Figment in JII and loved HM however he didn't like the noise on EEA. He loved seeing Nemo and enjoyed the parks in general. I learned quickly that he was fine on any of the rides as long as he wasn't in need of a feeding right near the time he was going on the ride. We plan to take him back again soon and he's already 30.5 inches. We were thinking of going in May but might just wait and bank our points for a bigger trip in Feb 2010 and he will most likely be able to ride GBS then too!

She can do anything without a height requirement.

She may be scared of some of the dark rides, so you will want to keep that in mind. My kids enjoyed the haunted mansion, pirates, snow white, etc, but many kids are frightened.

My dd was 19 mos when we went and Buzz and Toy Story Mania were her FAVORITE rides!! She went on everything where there wasn't a height requirement, including the Haunted Mansion!

Your not the only one learning. I am new to the site and planning my first disney trip so I am in real bad shape.

We haven't done that one. I'm not sure if that's what it's called.

Ellen's Energy Adventure Sorry. It's really loud with dinosaurs and noises, and it has signs posted about scaring small children, but I knew what it was like and didn't think it would bother my DS who was protected from the noise. He was calmed by some of the ride but bothered by some of it. It turns out that his fussiness that day might have been in part to his gassy belly though too. I ended up talking him back to the resort early that night and just relaxing with him and strolling the grounds. It may or may not have been the ride, he was fine after that.

I don't think that any should feel silly about taking small children to Disney World. Last June my DW and I took our kids, DD was four at the time and DS was 2. They both had an amazing time. Every day my DS talks about the trip to see Mickey. The best part was when my DW and I told them about our next trip back in November. Ive never seen them so excited. So believe me, they will remember, especially if you make it fun for them.

We took DS just shy of 2 in April 08 and she remembered tons of details for a long time. It seems lately like some of her memories of it are less crisp. She still loves all things Disney and had a great great time. So did DW and I.

We're taking her back in June and I'm sure she'll find many things familiar.

I get that a lot too, but honestly, I don't remember things from when I was 6 or 7, but have the pictures to look back on. I personally believe it's all about making memories for YOU with your children.
