First family trip to the park! :confused3

We have our adr's, but I'm second guessing my choices - I would so appreciate your opinion - please take a look and let me know if there are better choices or changes to be made, or your fav foods from them!

We have:

check-in day:
1900 park fare dinner - 5:10pm

our first day in the park - magic kingdom: Breakfast chef mickeys - 7:10am
BOG lunch FP 11:30 - 12:00 arrival

second day - Hollywood studios:
Hollywood and vine lunch 12:50pm
50's prime time dinner 6:45pm

Third Day - Epcot:
Akershus dinner 8:10pm

Fourth Day - Animal Kingdom:
Quick service this day?

Last Day in the park - repeating magic kingdom: T. Rex lunch 1pm

So the more I think about it the more I question our rezzies...Is it practical to leave magic kingdom and head to downtown Disney for t-rex lunch on that last day? And then later return to MK? Would we be better off choosing a meal in MK instead?

Akershus and Park Fare are character buffets, so pricier - even though we have the basic dining plan so we won't pay the tab but that also means higher gratuity (family of 7) and even though there may be more to choose from, 3 of my kiddos are super picky and will they even eat there?
Seriously one of them will only eat grill cheese...

Also 4 of our rezzie's are character buffets - is this overkill? should I axe two of them due to picky kids and higher tabs?

If you have any suggestions or wisdom regarding our schedule and dining and parks etc - I'm all EARS ;)

thanks so much, 13 days till we leave!!!

I would drop T Rex (food so-so) and stay at the park. I would also drop the 2nd Chef Mickey and go for something at Animal Kingdom. If you want a fun kid type place, eat at Rainforest Cafe. (at AK) My grandkids are not early risers so the early morning reservations would be a waste on them. If yours are early go getters, then go for it. I think you have a pretty solid schedule. I would definitely keep Park Fare and the BOG lunch is counter service so it should be cheaper, but I don't know for sure. We did Akershus last time and my granddaughter loved it! I am looking forward to the H&V Disney Jr characters.

I would move the Trex reservation to your AK day. It is much easier to leave AK and head to DTD, esp with the current construction. I wouldnt want to waste MK time by eating lunch at DTD. I would book another meal for MK (or even a nearby resort - monorail loop is best: Contemporary, Poly or GF) or just eat Quick Service.

If you have purchased the DDP, doing character dining is the best way to maximize your money on the plan.

Have fun

T-Rex is our favorite place. The food is good and atomosphere is so much fun! But we do dinner, not lunch. I would not leave the park for lunch at 1pm (unless maybe you are planning on an afternoon break). Just a suggestion, but maybe try to get a dinner reservation on your AK day. AK usually closes the earliest of the parks so you probably would not miss as much park time. Don't forget you can call T-Rex directly to book! I would probably go with a quick service at MK. As for character meals, we do several each trip. Beats standing in line for many meet and greets. Hope this helps.

I love all of your choices!!!! I have a similar plan for my stay at Disney!!! For the quick-service at Animal Kingdom I would DEFINITELY go with Flame Tree Barbecue!!! Especially if you are on the dining plan. HUGE PORTIONS and good food!!! Check out the menu!
