Okay, I know I'm way ahead of myself here, but you can never be too organised when it comes to your wedding/honeymoon ;) I am going to WDW in August next year for 3 weeks and I have 14 nights of free DDP

We have never been to WDW before and I am currently trying to narrow down my restaurant selection. Obviously I have 14 TS and 14 CS to use and I don't mind having to use 2 TS per meal for some of the signature restaurants if they are not to be missed. We are already planning on doing V & A, hopefully The Chefs Table, so that is already one TS each we have saved.

So if I could bother any of you with answering a few of my questions I would be really grateful :grouphug: Organising my wedding is stressful enough as it is, without gathering every menu together to help me decide.

So, if you would like you can copy and paste.

1. Which restaurant using 2 TS credits would you say is a must-do?
2. Are there any other restaurant at WDW that you think is a must-do that isn't on the DDP?
3. Can you list me your top 5 CS Restaurants?
4. Can you list me your top 5 TS Restaurants?
5. Are there any breakfast places that I shouldn't miss?

The reason I ask the 5th one is that we intend to use our CS for lunch and TS for dinner. But if there are any places that are highly recommended for breakfast, I'm willing to pay either OOP or use my CS/TS.

Thanks a bundle to anyone who replies. :cheer2:

Free DDP for August? Its the first week in Oct~ How do you *know* you have that :confused3 I planned my upcomming vaca for May this past Fe. But I just paid for a room. I didnt, and dont expect anything for free, or any special discounts available. I do know, however, that I can upgrade my room only to a package, for extra $$$$ ofcourse, if I choose to popcorn::

For a first trip, I'd avoid the 2TS restaurants. Everything will be "special enough" that there is no need to blow Dining Plan credits on 2TS meals, this time. Same story with non-Dining Plan restaurants. It's just not necessary AFIAC to go down that path on a first visit.

Summer-Caitlin is from the UK. They have already been offered the free Dining Plan promotion for hurricane season 2007.

We in the UK have already been offered the free dining plan for the period August 13th until September 29th I have a 21 day holiday booked with Virgin Holiday staying at Pop for next year. As for the OP's questions about resteraunts. I went to jiko, Calfornia Grill and Narcoossee's and they where wonderful. My best CS resteraunt was the Sunshine Seasons at Epcot.

Here are some of our faves:

Table service - all 1 credit

Kona Cafe - Polynesian resort
Le Cellier - Epcot
ESPN - Boardwalk (no reservations accepted here)
O'Hana - Polynesian
Marrakesh - Epcot; Spoodles - Boardwalk; Crystal Palace - (Breakfast) - Magic Kingdom; Boma - Animal Kingdom Lodge

Counter Service

Wolfgang Pucks Express - Downtown Disney
Sunshine Seasons - Epcot (Land pavillion)
Cosmic Rays - Magic Kingdom
Tusker House - Animal Kingdom

Have a great trip!! Hoping for free dining again next year for us also!!! :thumbsup2

We loved Wolfgang Puck's Cafe at Downtown Disney, it is a 1 TS. Kona was also great. Please know that it is a pain to travel from the Pop to other resorts. Depending on how much time you want to spend in the parks, you might consider the 2 TS restaurants to leave more time to play or use some TS at lunch in the parks.

Sounds like you are going to have a super honeymoon! :sunny:

Make sure you add Spoodles to your table service list. It was our favorite meal and DH's steak was much better than the one at Le Cellier!

Congrats on your upcoming trip/wedding!

I would say 2 TS California Grill, you get a great view fo the fireworks from the walk way, get out there a little eary and walk about half way along, and the food is also very very good.

Jiko is also good, but not nesessarily unmissable.

1 TS resturants I would go for (and do go for) are;
Le Cellier, make sure yu book it at the 180 day mark, it is also worth remembering they often run late.
Tepanyaki, great food and entertainment watching the chef.
Liberty Tree Tavern dinner, good characher interation, not gorumet food, but all you can eat family style with roast turkey, ham and flank steak, stuffing beans and mash, but very good.
'Ohana, but this can be a bit hit and miss.
Whiuspering canyon Cafe, its fun and also suprising good food for the reviews.
I also like Nine Dragons, the only thing here is the tables are a bit close.
Grand Floridian Cafe is good (choclate fondue).
At down town dinsey Wolfgang Puck, Raglan Road and Planet Hollywood are all good.

Counter service
Wolfgang Puck Express
Flame Tree BBQ and Tusker House in AK
POP century food court is good as well, great fried chicken and good cheasecake and sundeas that counmt as either a dessert or a snack. (Get the cold stuff before you get the hot stuff and pay, otherwise it goes cold.)
Pecos Bill in MK burgers but a good topping bar.
Staring rolls in MGM, great sandwiches with a LOT of fillings.
Epcot lotsof good counter places, including Yakatori house, Yorkshire Fish and Chip Shop and Tangerine Cafe (Lot of food for a counter service).

We are hoping to do this in September for 2 weeks :)
