Here's my question, if anyone has any thoughts, an answer or an opinion I'd love to hear them. TIA :)

We will be staying at the Poly in January and really want to stay CL, however when we made our ressie there were no CL rooms available the day we check in. However, online it shows that WDW has CL rooms available at the Poly the day after we arrive until the day we check out. We've already paid and have recieved our paperwork. What we plan on doing when we check in, is ask if there is a CL room available and if not, ask if there is one available the next day that we could upgrade to. Here's the question: If there is a CL room available the day after we check in, how do you think they would go about calculating how much to charge us for the difference in price? They couldn't just make us pay the difference between a CL room for the length of our stay and what we've already booked and paid for, b/c the first night we wouldn't be in a CL room. Our package has 1 day base tickets and the regular ddp. Hopefully someone will understand my question. Thanks again.

Call the CM at the Poly's desk and ask. :surfweb: You will avoid any confusion that way.

When you call a "hotel" number at Disney, you're still routed to the various Call Centers. You can't get directly to the front desk at any hotel, even though they might even answer with the hotel's name.

Just call the CRO number and ask.

The reason I haven't called is because I know you can't actually reach the resort. If it were that easy I would have done that. I think we'll actually just keep the room we already have paid for. I'm starting to think that if disney had really wanted to have a CL room sold the week we are going to be there, they would have given us the deal on the WL CL room we had in the first place, like they should have, like they've done for most everyone who had existing ressies. They didn't want to do it, so I'm not certain that I'll help them out and buy a CL from them now.

Each resort is different and can't really be equated with each other. Who knows how much availability was left for WL CL at the time you requested to have your ressie modified? I'm sure the ability to get the promo was based on availability in the room type requested. If you want CL at the Poly then you're only hurting yourself by not inquiring if it's possible to upgrade for the portion of your trip when CL is available. ---Kathy

I'm not sure that 'only hurting myself' is the way to describe not asking about CL availablity :confused3

My original question was if anyone knew how Disney may go about pricing an upgrade for 5 of the nights we are going to be there. The point I was making about not inquiring about CL was that a CL room would already be booked and paid for if we could have gotten the 4/3 deal....now that room is sitting empty 5 of the 6 nights we will be there. I'm thinking the reason Disney is offering 4/3 free is so the rooms won't be empty and will be making money instead of losing it.

I would think you'd be quoted the difference between rack rate for whatever type of room you've booked and rack rate for CL for the number of days you'd be upgrading.

I would keep calling/checking the website for openings. I've been waiting for ANY availability for the Poly for my dates in June and today GV and CL came up. :)

Just because a room is available doesnt mean its available with a certain promotion or discount code. And calling the resort directly will do NOTHING. They dont book the rooms

ditto:thumbsup2 Disney only releases so many rooms/resorts with each promotion so even though they may have rooms available it doesn't necessarily mean they are available with that promo.

I would call Disney reservations to see if that is available under that promo. The documents really don't mean much even if you have them. They will make the changes in the system.

Now if you are changing hotels and using Magical Express then your bag tags would reflect the old hotel. So in that case I'd call as soon as possible to see if they can send new bag tags.

This is why I said you'd be only hurting yourself... you're angry and disappointed that you weren't given the deal to start with so now you're not going to "help them out" by buying a CL room. That's hurting you- they can always sell the room to someone else. ---Kathy

Has anyone here been able to get the 4/3 deal at a club level anywhere? I have been trying to book on the website and can't seem to get anything at the AKL, maybe the 4/3 does not include the AKL. If we cant stay there we would like to stay at the poly, do you mind saying what you paid for a regular room there? we are going in Feb, i believe the first week so prices should still be down. Im still trying to get the best deal and there are so many experts here...any advice is appreciated.
thank you!

Yes, I was able to get a club-level room with the 4/3 deal at the Poly. When I looked at our dates there were club-level rooms available at most of the deluxes. I think they are getting harder to find now that more and more people are booking these rooms.:)

Thank you for writing back...Im looking right now. What i found at the poly with the 4/3 deal was 2,651 for 2 adults, our daughter already has her ticket/was part of her christmas present.
This was for Feb 21-28 not Club level. Did you do your resie on-line or by phone? Do u mind posting aprox amount? If we are aloud? .......
I might not be entering the request correctly, I don't see the option for CL.
Thank you again
