My dh and I will be at wdw Sept 13- 20 and I have no PS yet. I feel sick all day and just nothing sounds good. I know we'll do beaches and cream and some counter service. I'm thinking of doing the ice cream social instead of a full character meal. I need to figure out at least a meal in every park and then one or two more dinners. My DH is suggesting boma's and cape may's so we'll go there. Any other suggestions? I'll be 15 weeks along by then so hopefully my stomach will calm down. Thanks!

By September, the Parks should be alot slower than they are now - so I wouldn't worry about PS if you don't feel up to making them. I would only worry about the harder ones to get- like CRT; other than that- plan them when you feel better! When the parks are less busy, you can even call that day to get a PS......Jill

I feel for you! I had all day morning sickness through out my whole pregnancy. I hope you fair better than I did. My advice would be to just take it day by day and see how you feel and what sounds good to you. If you don't get to eat at all the places you wanted to on this trip well then it's the perfect excuse to make another trip after the baby is born :smooth: Have a wonderful trip and best wishes for a happy and healthy pregnancy! :D

Try not to worry- with both of my pregnancies I had horrible morning sickness for the first 12 or 13 weeks, but it was completely gone by the 15th week. In fact, I was STARVING and ate enough during my second trimester to make up for all the missed meals.

If the ms hasn't abated make sure you eat plenty of small meals- the key is to keep your blood sugar elevated. Another tip is to use the seaband motion sickness bands - they did help me somewhat. You'll also want to keep well hydrated, especially in the heat.

Good Luck, have a great vacation and a happy and healthy 9 months!

I can relate - I was terribly sick with my 1st child (not at all with my 2nd! :D ) and I know that it is no fun.

I agree with *123JOANNA123*, even though food may not sound good to you, it really does help to try to keep something in your stomach all the time. Try to eat some crackers with peanut butter (good mix of carbs/protein) as a snack and some other small meals throughout the day.

Hope you feel better soon!!

but I just read about ginger pills for motion sickness. I think they also stated that pregnant women have been using these to quell the morning sickness woes. You may want to check into this. I have never tried it, fortunately for me no morning sickness. I was interested because I do get motion sickness, especially after riding RnR coaster 3 times in a row:p

Congrats on your pregnancy, by the way.

Linda

Yes - try the crystalized ginger, too. You can just nibble it. I used it during chemo and it did help the nausea.

Don't worry about the PS's. You can decide while at Disney. Just call in the morning from your hotel room for that nights dinner, like NASMITH mentioned. Of course, it won't work for the heavy hitters mentioned above (CRT, etc.) but for most others. You may have to pick from what's available, but something will be available!

Hope you're feeling better!

I found that unless I had a burning desire to eat at a specific place on a specific day (like our anniversary dinner) I did fine either walking up when I was hungry or planning while we were there. I got a great seat at 'Ohana by going when they opened, we were seated within 15 minutes and had a view of MK fireworks.

To help with morning sickness, which for me was not too bad except that I also have a problem with motion, I bought and wore Sea-Bands wrist bands. I wore them through most of my first trimester (with each baby) and also through most of the trips we took.

Don't forget a bathing suit, the pool feels like heaven after a warm day on your feet in the parks.

I had all-day morning sickness for nine months with both pregnancies and tried EVERYthing! Crackers made me puke, gingerale made me puke, all the tried and true remedies. Seabands just left a red mark on my wrist. Then a nurse of mine suggested lemonade. Now that sounds like it would make the problem worse, sour the stomach and all, but it worked! Has something to do with increasing salivation. I was able to eat small meals throughout the day if I sipped lemonade. I preferred the raspberry kind, but the traditional flavor worked too.

My case was unusual -- most women with morning sickness find that it disappears when the second trimester begins. Personally, I would make the PS now because you can always cancel when you get there if your appetite has not returned. I found, strangely, that high fat/high protein meals stayed down better than high fiber "healthy" ones. You might want to try Ohana or a buffet like Trail's End.

I was 12 weeks pregnant last September in WDW. I had very mild morning sickness but was also worried about getting motion sickness on the flight. My friend gave me some ginger candy (the crystalized ginger mentioned above) and it really worked. Good luck to you and congratulations!!!

I noticed another post that mentioned lemonade. I was extremely sick throughout my pregnancy and read an article where the combo of salty and sweet/sour would help. They suggested lemonade and potato chips. OK! Sound horrible, but it really worked for me. I would eat a handful of Baked Lays and drink lemonade and it was relief for a few hours. Best of Luck to you!

thumbs up on the lemonade!
I also tried freeze pops.. sounds weird, but they worked. They also worked on the heartburn that I had!!
