I am so confused on the preferred rooms/buildings at POP??? :confused3 :confused3 Me and my DH and 3 yo DS are going in September to WDW and we are staying at POP, our ressies are for a preferred view room??? Can anyone who has stayed here tell me what building to request for the preferred view? I would like something on the quiter side, I have read that those facing the lake are a little more quiet?? Can someone just tell me the exact building/room to put my request in for? I would really appreciate it...... :thumbsup2

My DS and I stayed in the preferred section (60's) on SPring Break this year (last month) . We were on the backside of the Play-Doh building room 4125 it wasnt loud at all, and close to everything!

Last year we stayed in the preferred section on the play doh side of the building. We were on the top floor last room and the pools were right in front of us. It was spring break and we didnt have any problems with noise. I am sure on the back side would be even better.

We just had a standard room in the 50s section. We were right next to the 60s. It was maybe a 2 minute longer walk for us to get to the preferred building our friends stayed in.

Had prefared at the 50ties it was good.

At the Value resorts, they don't have 'preferred-view' rooms - just 'preferred' rooms based on location. Until May 1 this year, ALL the rooms in both 60s buildings were considered 'preferred' because the buildings are adjacent to the Hippy Dippy, or main, pool; all the rooms in all the other buildings were considered 'standard'.
Beginning May 1, the designations changed - most likely due in large part to the MANY requests for rooms in the 50s and 70s. Now, SOME rooms in the 50s buildings, SOME rooms in the 60s buildings and SOME rooms in the 70s buildings are 'preferred'; SOME rooms in these seven buildings and ALL the rooms in the 80s and 90s are now 'standard'.
IMO, it makes little sense to ask for a specific room. Instead, if Guests care to make requests, they should request what matters - in the above case: "A preferred room away from the noise". The CMs (sometimes) know even more than the DISers do; the less specific a request, the more leeway they have in granting it.

:confused3 First I heard about change in preferred rooms. Makes sense though as I,d read thet some rooms in 50,s and 70,s were closer to Classic Hall than the preferred rooms. So what would you suggest for connecting rooms close to Hall and buses without paying extra?
