HELP!!! POP,POR,POFQ

I am in desperate need of advice!! First time visit coming up in OCT 2015.
Should we spend our 8 nights at:
POR($5300) Royal room
POFQ($5000) Garden view
POP($4100) standard room
It will be my husband and I and our 3 kids (boy 11, girl 5, girl 1).

Any advice is greatly appreciated. We are currently booked at POFQ but my son likes the look of POP and my husband likes the savings at POP but I am liking the looks of PO.

I would go with POR or POFQ because of what you will get at them over Pop. What you will get at POR/POFQ over Pop:

Queen beds instead of doubles
Double sink
Bigger room
Pool slides
Hot tubs
Boat to Downtown Disney
Covered bus stop(s)
Table Service restaurant
YeeHa Bob Jackson
Cane Fishing - extra $
Carriage Ride - extra $
Lusher landscaping

Now whether any of the above are worth the extra $$ over Pop is something only you can answer. But these amenities are why we have made the jump from the Values to the Moderates as they ARE worth the extra $$ to us.

I agree with dansdad. While we've stayed at POP and really like it, with a family of 5 I think that PORS and POFQ would give you more space. However, all 3 resorts are fantastic! You really can't go wrong.

I owuld personally go with either POR or POFQ.

I'm going to say POFQ instead of Pop because the room will be tighter with the five of you.
POFQ is my favourite moderate and Pop is my favourite Value. I'm sure you'll love either resort.

I vote for POFQ. You will appreciate the smaller size of the resort, returning after a long day at the parks with little ones.

Thanks everyone!! I'm pretty sure I will stick with POFQ! I'm really worried with the length of our stay POP will just start feeling very cramped pretty quickly! We will also be coming for 4 nights in Dec staying at AOA so we could check out POP then. It would be nice to save the money by staying at Pop but in the long run I think we will be better off at a PO resort. Again thanks everyone for your help

POR pool view. You practically have your own pool to terrorize kids at.

Right now during our stay the only POR rooms available are the RR but there is a RR pool view available.

I've been watching to see if a preferred room comes available. Would you book RR pool view over PR?

I'd stick with POFQ, but it is also my favorite resort. I love the theme, the size of the resort, and I prefer their QS restaurant. However, POR is a very close second. The grounds are nice to walk around, and I love Boatwright's. The Royal Rooms are cute too. That's a tough choice, but you can't go wrong!

one more vote for pofq. we have stayed there and it is very nice, small and convenient. lately we have been staying at pop because we have gotten really great deals, so we go more often, but pofq is really nice. the only complaint i have about pofq is the lack of food options. we never walked over to por for their food but i know that is an option. not really sure how far of a walk it is. maybe someone else can chime in. i will say that when ds was younger he liked the pool at csr wayyyy better than pofq. he did not find pofq very exciting but for littler kids it should be really nice.

POFQ is our favorite mod as well. The walk to POR isn't that long and very picturesque. One evening we took the longer route to Boatwrights for dinner, took a few pictures on the way and then the shorter route back which was perfect distance for after dinner, but then we enjoy walking (even after all the park walking). I'd usually walk the loop first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee and which was maybe a 15-20 minute stroll.

POR - check out www.portorleans.org for tons of information, we have stayed at both & much prefer POR - but we always book a preferred room. Tried the mansions side once, but not for us. Have fun on your vacation.

You can also use the DTD boat to go over to POR.
