Trying to figure this out for tomorrow when 7 month booking window opens. We have 2 contracts one Dec UY one Feb UY. We are planning to go to California this summer, and hope to stay DVC for a week. My question is are we better off transferring points between the contracts to book the whole week at once or should we just bookv the first half with one contract and the second half with the other and link them? Anyone have experience with this?

Wish I'd seen this earlier. Decided to answer anyway, even though we're past the time for on-line booking to start.

You haven't mentioned what size unit you're looking for. That could make a difference.

The studios are already full for August 17 but both the 1 and 2 bdrm are open for the entire week. Hopefully that was you, grabbing the last studio.

Personally, I'd book the entire week, to reduce the risk of losing some of the days. If you've already booked a partial week, I would think you can still transfer the points and call MS today to add on the days you want. Anyone know for sure?

If you transfer points between two different contracts, they won't show up online. You'd have to wait until MS opens to book your stay.
