1. donating your ticket
2. getting a 1 day/1 park ticket (which is upgradeable)
3. getting the GADGAD FPs

Yes we have our vouchers already..... I am trying to figure out what would be best. I noticed online that you cannot buy the 3-5 with the magic morning at the ticket booth which is where I would need to redeem my voucher, yes? So in looking I wouldn't be saving very much off regular price I would pay at main ticket booth and I would not get magic morning to boot.
So I guess I am asking if this is correct or if I misread. I am thinking the better route would be to buy the S cal from Costco and use my vouchers toward FP? Maybe just put it towards annual passes??
Needless to say I am slightly confused and sure I have over thought this!!!!!lol

can you not get the cute mouse ears with pins anymore? I think those would be great souvenirs and would save some $$ in that part of the budget.

we had 4 vouchers and used 3 for FP and 1 for the ear hat pin set.

We went 6/13-6/20 and the FP came in really handy. You can still get regular FP too. Some of the CM's gave us back our GAD passes and told us to use them again. Some got used 4 times before they were kept.

Well, you just need to figure out what you ultimately want (tickets for just this trip? APs?) and then figure out the best financial way to get it.

You can take those vouchers and upgrade them when you get to DL, and you'll get the cost of a one day one park ticket credited towards the ticket you want to buy. Or if you want an AP, you turn the voucher into a one day one park ticket, then upgrade to the AP and, again, you get that same value towards the AP.

Or if you're going during a horribly busy time and the extra FPs would be better, get the discount tickets ahead of time online and just use the FPs for that!

It's really just what you want...

You could do a forum search and look up GAD -- that is what I seem to recall seeing a lot of threads titled with.

We were going to use ours to upgrade to a 3 day and just make a short trip of it-- this trip was mostly for the inlaws and since we went 5 days last year thought 3 would be fine during the busy summer. Well we got really cheap park hoppers from LMT (157 for 5 day) and decided then to use them for fast passes. Then, since we were arriving on Fathers day and I kind of noticed before we left that the cheapest ap's were blocked out that day we debated whether or not to just go in that day or save them for fast passes, it depended on how we were feeling after the drive (we drove all night 16 hr drive) and what husband wanted to do because it was fathers day. Well he wanted to go right in. So we did and it was great--it was a good day in the parks, we were walking on all the rides later in the eve and it was nice having 6 days in the parks. Just remember everyone's ID!

I've been having a similar dilemma about what to do with our GAD vouchers during our November trip, complicated by the fact that I'll also have $250+ in Disney Visa Reward points to apply somewhere in the mix. We will likely be there for the Christmas holiday kickoff, so the fast passes would be helpful....however, my kids don't actually like many of the fast pass rides, so unless the 3 adults want to take turns riding Space 6 times each, they may not be the best use after all.

Wasn't there also a figurine option of some sort for the GAD voucher? If so, does anyone have a picture of it or the ears/pins set?
