Help please

I rarely post on here because I have always struggled to make the forum work properly. However, I am now posting a little more and I need some help please as I have decided to persevere until I get the darned thing to work!

When I press the "New Posts" button, I get the search window telling me that there are no results for that search term????

Can someone tell me what to do to put this right please?

You aren't doing anything wrong--that feature just does not currently work! Because of the size of the forums and the servers required just to keep the site up and running (at no cost to the users), many of the search type features had to be disabled. Before they did that the boards were very slow and you would often get "server busy" error messages.

They are working on a new search system that can handle the load, and some features do work sometimes.

But New Posts does not work. The best thing you can do is just pick the boards you enjoy the most and look for the threads that are bolded as ones with new posts.
