My husband and I love to try restaurants we have never tired before. We are all set for our trip in Oct, but need one more restaurant. We are deciding between

Boma
Biergarten
Marrakesh

We have heard really good things about Marrakesh, but the only thing keeping us away is my husband does not like spicy food and we were afraid it would be too spicy for him.

Please help with any advice.

Thank you:dance3: pirate:  :rotfl:

I havent tried any of those restaraunts yet but have ADR's for the Biergarten in Nov. because my DH has been wanting to try it out.

Biergarten is a great restaurant, highly recommended. As is Crystal Palace if you haven't been there before.

x2 for Biergarten. It's one of my can't miss places.

It's a buffett now (may have been for a while, but I started going there when it was order off a menu style) and you have a ton of different things to choose from -- salad, cheeses, desserts, etc. Oh and the wonderful beer (tell the Franziskaner Weissbier we said hi, if you have some). They also do a fun Oktoberfest show, where you can get up and do the chicken dance with your kids.

Biergarten is a must do on every trip for us... Fun, and good German food...
Yum, getting hungry....

We love Marrakesh!! The food isn't spicy (hot or weird) at all. DH got the lemon chicken, and it was really great and not at all odd or "foreign" tasting. Moroccan spices are really good- not at all hot or strange to American palates. Try it, you'll like it!! I like the lamb shank dish, and the kabobs are really good- very nicely spiced. There really isn't anything on the menu I'd consider inappropriate for choosy eaters.

We just love BOMA! My husband is a meat and potatos guy - no spices, no veggies, no sauces, etc - but I am the opposite. He took me there a few years ago because he knewed I liked it. I was shocked by how much he enjoyed the food - he tried a little of everything! It is buffet and has a wonderful selection. We now make it a point to go to Boma everytime we go to Disney.

I second that the food on the menu at Marrakesh is NOT spicy. I have always enjoyed my food there. However, last trip was our last. DH's meal was BAD -- his beef kabob was rare after he said well-done. They took it back and it was returned still raw with a hair in it (I told him that's what he gets for complaining :lmao: ). Since my portion of chicken couscous was too big for me-- he ate that. Our service was bad -- I don't know to blame it on the DDP or not. 2 people in our party were not on the plan, our family was. We never got our drinks and had to ask 3 times. The other two, not on the plan, received theirs immeditiately. :confused3

While I love Moroccan cuisine, sadly we won't be back because of the bad service and DH's inedible meal -- he told me this as we were walking out.

On the flip side, we tried Teppanyaki (to DH's horror) -- to his surprise it ended up being one of his and our family's favorite TSs of the entire trip.

Biergarten is a must-do for our family; in fact, we're eating there the first and last nights of our trip next month. We love it.

Marrakesh was a major disappointment to us. Far from being spicy, I found the food bland and amazingly overpriced for chicken couscous. Service was okay, nothing special. It was loud and our kids didn't care for the Moroccan music. (If you like Moroccan food, Tangerine's, the CS in Morocco, might be a better choice in my opinion.)

Haven't tried Boma, so sorry can't help there.

I'll put my vote in for Marrekesh. My wife and I eat there every trip, and her apettite isn't all that daring but she loves eating there.

We love Marrakesh, it is a must do for us each trip. It is a beautiful restaurant, has warm friendly servers and the food is delicious. I am not an adventerous eater, and I have tried several of the different dishes and enjoyed them. There is also the Belly Dancer which is nice entertainment.

Boma is always at the very top of the "to do" list for us. We all enjoy it, but dh and older ds just love, love, love it. Marrakesh is another restaurant we visit often.

My advince, think about where you plan on being and see which is the closest.

Boma is a must-do for us every trip. Lots of different things to try and many "mainstream" items to satisfy every palate.

I loved Boma on our last trip. We were going to go there this times around, but opted for a dinner show instead. Biergarten was on our list, but we are a party of 10 this time, (not just DH and I like usual) and the reservationist said that they wouls probably split up out party. It just seems weird to sit at a table with a bunch of strangers, when your family is sitting two tables over, also with a bunch of strangers- so we opted for Marrakesh where we can all sit together.
Personally I am not happy with this decision. I have never eaten there before, I am not a picky eater so im sure the food will be fine. My problem is-
I personally do not think it will be entertaining to watch attractive women with killer bodies dance by my table while I am gorging on appetizer, entree, and dessert provided by the DDP. Great- way to make me feel like a disgusting pig. Sign me up!:rotfl2:
I know its stupid- and I know I am not a disgusting pig. But I do know myself enough to realize that petty as it may be, it's still gonna irk me. Especially with DH, Dad and DBIL oggling the Belly dancers which, being male, they are prone to do. I would enjoy my meal so much more at the foot of an active volcano in a tranquil Mexican town at twilight. Even if the food is not as good.
anyway- this has swayed my decision in the past- maybe it will for you too. plus Morrocan music is a little... well not for me.

I would be hard pressed to choose between Boma and Biergarten! We love them both and for different reasons!
