I haven't posted in ages and having just booked our flights for October Half term, i now need to organise our accomadation. On our last(and first) trip we were fortunate enough to stay at the Disneyland Hotel, however its too expensive to book ths again:sad1: I am torn between HNY or Admirals Club at the Newport Bay. Ive tried researching this online using trip advisor and the reviews are very mixed shall we say so i thought i'd tap your expertise .

Ive got 2 girls 4 & 6 .

which would you recommend and why.:confused3

Thanks in advance:)

I have never stayed at the New York but we had a wonderful time at the NBC staying on Admiral floor. The room was clean, the housekeeping was very good and the beds were comfortable. My children are more or less same age as yours and they relly enjoyed themselves.

The staff at the hotel are really friendly.

Like you I had checked out tripadvisor and got bit confused with conflicting advise, the hotel is big but we didn't really find it :cheer2: a problem. With Admiral floor you have separate checkin so that means there is usually no queue.

The buffet meals are really good value. My children always found plenty they liked.

The only advise I would give for the hotel is book an early time slot for breakfast i.e before 8am, then it isn't busy.

Have a wonderful time

I've never stayed in NPB but I have the HNY. I love the HNY, rooms are big & clean. I have found all the staff I have come across to be helpful and friendly.

Also I have found during the main holidays the HNY use thir big conference room for breakfast so no queing.

I haven't stayed at the New York, but had a fabulous holiday @ the NPB Admiral's Floor last year, see some of the details is my trip report. Jill & Co's trip March 06 in the trip reports thread. :)

I've stayed at the HNY and the NPB twice - once on the Admiral's Floor and the other time not. Didn't notice much difference as far as extras were concerned between the AF and the standard rooms - but this might have been because our AF visit was on a special offer. I know others have mentioned some nice extras :)

I love the decor of the NPB, but I preferred staying at the HNY - the rooms are a bit bigger and it's a shorter walk to the Village and parks. :thumbsup2

BTW - Hello thehails and Welcome to the DIS!!

I would choose the HNY, I love it, it is right near the village and it is smaller so less people at breakfast. From what I have read the private breakfast on the Admirals floor is not a consistent thing.
