We're on the deluxe dining plan...We were planning on going to the Cali Grill, but neither of us like sushi..should we still go? Or should we plan Narcoosee's or somewhere else???

My 90 call day is Sunday... They're open that day right??

Here's the restaurants I have so far....

Breakfast-

CRT - already have adr
Chef Mickeys -have adr
Ohana
1900 Park Fare
Crystal Palace

Lunch -

Only planning lunch on the day of our arrival...is that a mistake?

The Plaza

Dinner -

Cali Grill (maybe)
Whispering Canyon
Coral Reef
Ohana
Chef Mickey - have adr
Le Cellier
Brown Derby for Fantasmic...hopefully...

Anything you would omit or add...

This is my first time on the deluxe plan and it's kind of mind boggling..:confused3

I see that you have 7 dinners, so I assume that you are staying for at least 7 nights. Assuming that, you each will have 21 dining credits with the DXDP. Using the places that you listed, you are only using 16 credits.

My suggestion is that, since you are paying for the DXDP, you should definitely add more places to go. My wife and I really like the SIgnature places for dinner, and there are some wonderful places to go, like Jiko at the AKL, Yachstmans Steakhouse at the YC, or Artists Point at the WL. These are all fantastic restaurants that will cost you 2 dining credits if you eat there.

FOr breakfast, my wife and I really enjoy the Kona Cafe in the Polynesian.

If you really think that you will not be eating lunches, I would certainly do all Signature Dining for dinner. That way, you are using your 3 dining credits per day.

Oh, and I would certainly do California Grill. It is one of our favorites, and we don't like sushi either. If you can get the right time for reservations during the fireworks, the ambience is unforgettable.

Have fun!

Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House in AK is really good.

If you have any more dinner nights available 1900 Park Fare has Cinderella, Prince Charming and the Step-Sisters and Mother.

Thank you so much for the replies...

I was thinking about doing more signature dining, but I wanted to keep some for lunches...I'm just worried that we'll get hungry and not be able to eat lunch because I've used all my credits...kwim...then I don't want to schedule lunch, because the guys don't like having to follow a schedule when we are on vacation....

BTW...we are staying for 7 nights...

I'll have to add in Tusker House for breakfast....

I also wanted to eat at The Wave for lunch one day. I figure that we can stop in on our way for our nap one day...Do you think I will have any problems getting in??

Keep in mind how much time it takes to eat -

and keep in mind you can use your snacks (like those turkey legs) for other meals (snacks for breakfast for instance) If you get food you can take back in a doggie bag - veggies, fruits desserts - (NOT at buffets!)

you will find you will be very very FULL from the DxDP

Because of timing issues, I like doing a 2TS a day (CRT is a 2TS for breakfast - do it later in the day 9 - or 10 - then you can have an early dinner - and truly not miss a meal!)

Cali Grill is an AWESOME restaurant - so much more than sushi! I cant remember what I have - just that its the very best! (we werent on the dining plan and still ate here!)

Honestly I plan my parks and then plug in my food adrs

so on a Animal Kingdom day - I plan breakfast at my resort then maybe Boma for dinner!

We love Epcot - so maybe Princess Storybook for breakfast and a LeCellier for dinner...
(I know you have all boys - but I truly love this breakfast! I will say it is a skip it for a lot of people as the first ADR available is 8:30 so you cant make it to Soarin at Rope Drop - but it forces me to be slower paced and not so commando in touring!)

Brown Derby is a 2TS meal - Mama Melrose is 1TS
Fantasmic is a beautiful show! and for the FDP you have to eat around 3ish - so planning for eating is essential on this day!
