Can anyone give me any advice on how their experiences have been with the Magical Express service offered from Disney.

I have used their service 3 times now and love it. You sign up they mail you tags to put on you luggage when you get to Orlando you go the ME area they put you in your resort area to get your bus. You go to hotel check in, go to your room head out to parks, whatever you'd like to do. Your luggage is identified by ME employees and they ship it to your resort and it shows up within a couple hours, right to your room. So when you come back it is their.

In a word...AWESOME.

Why they didn't start this service sooner is beyond me! It was fantastic.

I did this same research before our WDW 2 months ago.

I read lots of previous threads on this subject (over on the Resorts Board).
(Using the SEARCH is a very valuable tool for finding LOTS of info very quickly).

We have previously used Towncars and Limos from and back to the airport, and I was skeptical of trying DME.

But I read MANY responses from folks who had good experiences with this service.

So, we tried it and were VERY SATISFIED.

We're going again in May of this year and will be using DME again.

Now, if WDW decides to CHARGE for DME in the future,
depending on the PRICE, I MIGHT decide to go back to the Towncar (for the personal, individual service we get).

used it in September and worked like a charm.. We are leaving on Tuesday to go back and I paid the trip off on Feb 28th and I still dont have the tags.. I will wait and see if they come in the mail today and if not then I will be calling to find out what I will need to do..

Very simple. No worries. The tags are convenient but you don't NEED them. Just do everything as normal, and when you go to check in at the DME Welcome Center at MCO, tell them you don't have the DME tags on your checked bags (they'll ask you, anyway). They'll ask for your baggage claim ticket numbers, as well as ask you to identify your luggage using a photo array. A CM will go to baggage claim and claim your bags for you, then put them into the DME luggage delivery stream. Except for the numbers and the identification through photos, your DME experience will be exactly like it was for you the first time you used it. Like I said, no worries!
