So, my husband and I are what we call, "Trippers"
Although, we recently just became our newly created names. Last year we surprised our daughter with her first trip to MK at Disney for her 6th birthday in March! Before that, he and I both hadn't been since we were kids which was bout 20-28 years before. Her trip was so much fun we decided to venture out more. In May we decided to take our teenage boys to Universal Studios for the first time as well. At that time, my husband became sick and couldn't travel and did not want the boys and I to cancel our trip so we left him and went on and had THE BEST time!!! When we got home, I realized my husband's Universal tickets and dining plan never expire so we decided to go back again just he and I in September for his birthday. The most fun was had...it was just he and I and we forgot all about "adulting" and we were kids/teenagers....doing what we wanted and when! Since these trips we have become obsessed with planning more trips to Disney and Universal. Now, it's my birthday coming up the first weekend of March so my husband has planned for us to go to Epcot for the weekend. We know the kids really won't be all that into Epcot so that's why we figured we'd go here just the two of us. Again, we both haven't been since we were kids. Here's the issues...since this is last minute and March starts all of the country's school spring breaks right on into mid April, we could not find anywhere to stay on site. So we've decided to stay somewhere between Epcot and Disney Springs so that we could be close to both. Our plans are to arrive Friday, Mar 3rd...eat dinner somewhere, shop a little. Saturday is our day at Epcot. Sunday we will head back to Disney Springs again for more shopping and lunch before heading home. So far we have booked our stay at Buena Vista Suites. I don't know much about this hotel/resort. Can anyone give me any feedback from staying here? Also, we're not finding anywhere for dinner reservations that Saturday night other than just continuing to check each day to see if someone cancels or changes their reservations while freeing up something we might want. However-if anyone has any ideas, suggestions, feedback both positive and negative from doing anything in Epcot or where we are staying please let me know?!! Also, if this isn't where you'd stay, could you request some place else closer or better and your reasons why? The only other place we could stay "on site" would be at the World Dolphin resort/hotel but we've never stayed here either and it's more money and more resort fees/parking fees, etc-our overall issue is TIME! We're running out of time to book or reserve anything going forward, our choices are becoming limited...THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!
