Hi All,

We are going 9/14 to 9/19

Me
DD (21)
DS (7)
DD (6)
Mom (70)
Dad (70)
Sis (50)

With the loss of EMH on Monday the 15th I am really in a quandry.

Original Plan
MK Monday
DHS Tuesday

My thought now is to swap days

DHS Mon
MK Tues

They say tues at MK will be less crowded due to MNSSHP, which only four of will attend (parents and sister not going). My Dad can't do a whole day without a break. So thinking we will be able to do more with him Tuesday morning doing RD than Monday. I checked, I can swap my ADRs

Feedback please!!!

Try using the crowd calendar on easywdw. It will explain which park is best to go to on each day. We're thinking about going this same week next year, hope yours is a great trip.

When in doubt check Easywdw...Josh has updated his recommendations since the changes.

Yes do HS on the Monday and MK on the Tuesday.

Based solely on crowd levels and hours of operation, I'd make the switch if I were you, but can your kids do both RD and the party on the same day? I don't know if I could do it and it would be a bummer to buy hard tickets and not get full enjoyment out of it. Both Touring Plans and EasyWDW give suggested park days but both also say that having a touring plan (especially getting to the park at RD) is more crucial to having a productive day than the choice of park.

The time of year you are going is not that busy anyway. One thing to think about is if you do not have the hopper, those going to MNNSHP can go to any other park in the am. We like to do AK in the day, rest up late afternoon, nice dinner, then hit the party. Just something to think about.

I was thinking we could take a break at 2:00pm or 3:00pm and come back at 7:00pm for the party.

Due to my parents having Kennedy Space Center on their schedule (DHS day for us), and spending Wed in Epcot with some dear friends of theirs, my park day schedule is not very flexible.

I checked EasyWDW (Josh) and have subscription to Touring Plans they both say do MK Tues if you can.

They are right in the fact that your instincts tell you to do the park with the longest hours...LOL. But, who am I to doubt folks that analyze this for a living is the way I am looking at it. Which is why I came to the boards for final word ;)
