Help Planning Sisters 18th

hey all,
we are traveling to disney is sept 06, when my little sister will be turning 18! (which not sure if its a big deal in USA but it is in UK ) we want to do something speacial for her. we have spoke to the pixies, at giftofalifetime.com. from the replys we got, the activities were nothing spectacular. has any one used the pixies, if so is it worth the money?? and also has anyone got any other companys or ideas on how to celebrate her 18th. we thought about doing the firework cruises but again we want something complety differnt!
p.s she loves lilo and stitch if that helps any one, come up with anything!

Maybe not the best country to turn 18 in... In the US they are VERY strict on serving people under 18, so "having a few" on your 18th is just about impossible (unless you drink in the privacy of your hotel room or villa).

the aloha luau evening at the Poly? features music from Lilo and stitch.
or just see if they're showing lilo as the film at the fort wilderness camp site one evening.
and will reiterate - it is illegal to buy alcohol in the states under 21

what about the Grand gatherings ? You only need 8 to participate and there's alot to do.. maybe start the day with Lilo and Stitch for breakfast at the O'hanas... Have the front desk know it's her bday and they will have Mickey or Donald or Goofy call in to greet her a happy bday... last year I had a my bday at CP and my dsis had Winnie the pooh bring out my cake and card.. you can call in ahead for the cake so you'll have the 7 inch one. WHat about the Flower shop they can drop off balloons in your room... Always get a its my bday botton at every guest service in all the parks including downtown disney...do the segway tour 1st thing in the morning at EPCOT.. Hope this helps...

ya thanx that really helped lots of great idea! i like to do something a little special for my sis! we are going on 9th of sept, (well myself, finace and his sister) then at the end of our first week the rest are coming over (my mum, dad and sis) and then hehe my brother (who is traveling the world) should be coming over! its gonna b great i cant wait! its 50days till i go today! hehe in 50 days ill b sat on the plane (hopefully anyway)

i was in WDW for my 18th 2 years ago and I had a whale of a time.....if you want any more info on celebrating an 18th or want to know what we did then let me know!

I would advise you to get your sister's birthday card before you go. 18th is not a big deal in America and you may find it difficult getting that extra special card for her. What would be extra special though, in the shop in Cinderella's castle they sell Keys. We bought one for my nephew and they engraved 18 on it for free.... So much nicer than the Key's you get here from the card shops and unique to Disney!!

Whatever you do, your in the right place to have a magical time.... enjoy

If you are staying onsite, you could order your sister a Stich themed birthday gift basket from Feralpeg (another Disboarder) and have it delivered to your room. You can pick the items you would like to have included in the basket (including candy, snacks, plush characters, hats, name tags, etc.). The website is http://www.peggyssweetsandmore.com. I have heard many great things about her baskets.

another vote here for peggys sweets,her website looks fab and she gets rave reviews on the other forums.
I wore a birthday badge on my birthday and had a great day thanks to characters and cm's.We stayed in MK for most of the day and i lost count of how many times i got sung to and how many desserts i was given for free!
Maybe do lots of little things like buy her special mouse ears for the day (or the birthday hat shaped like a big cake).The ohana breakfast is a great idea as Stitch was really naughty when we went.
You could try and get to ride up front on the monorail with the driver-that would be a memorable birthday treat for me. Also go on her favourite rides and buy her the ride photos (if they have them),then make her a special album when you get home.

I love the idea of taking photos of her from the moment she wakes up on her birthday till she is asleep and all of the magical moments in between and creating a beautiful album for her.

You could have her portrait made by the artist at the France pavilion in Epcot or at the lobby of the Grand Floridian.
