We leave in less then 2 weeks for our trip and havent planned out our days yet. We have 2 days at US/IOA, 1 day at seaworld, 1 day at wetnwild, and we want to go to cocoa beach. We will be there 5 1/2 days getting there monday afternoon and leaving bright and early on a sunday. Which days are best for each park, also is there anything else we should try squezzing in? (its me dh, and 2 boys 3 & 5 )

You are going with young ones so I would suggest not trying to squeeze anything else...

Do the parks during the week, water parks Friday or Saturday so the young ones can relax a bit.

Cheers!

I would stick with water parks during the week...weekends are dominated by locals who work during the week. It's not really going to matter which park which day because crowds should be about the same each day. You have enough on your plate...don't overdo it by adding something else.

Probably too late now (although maybe not) - I'd suggest staying onsite at Universal one night and visiting the park the day of and following that night. You'll get the express pass with the room and it will mean you can do everything in those two days (shows too) and also ride the rides multiple times.

If you don't stay onsite, I'd recommend getting to the park when it opens. We always go to Dragon Challenge first to get a few rides in the front rows without waiting - I don't understand those who opt for the other rows when there's no wait - it's just not the same :confused3

The other way to optimize the time (depending on if you have kids and their ages) is to use the single rider line. Do that on all the rides that offers it and you'll cut the wait - you just don't sit with each other, although in some cases you still might. If you have kids and they're old enough to sit by themselves, this will save you tons of time.

Second day, I'd usually do Dragon Challenge again, but if there's a specific ride you wanted to do that had a long wait and no single rider line, like Despicable me, that would be your chance to do it.

For the shows, hit them when you are near them and they are close to start - don't waste time waiting for 20 minutes in line - we see people doing that for animal actors and we go ride MIB (sometimes twice) and come back to see the show. You can also often go from Animal Actors right to Horror makeup if the timing lines up - just gotta move quick!

Although it may not be necessariy and its probably not 100% accurate I like referring to the UnderCoverTourist Crowd Calendar. Its generally proven pretty accurate when I am selecting which park to do which day. I have a 3yr old and personally I try and split my days do by doing a day or 2 at a park then a day at a water park that way the water park acts as a buffer to all that walking. :thumbsup2
