Hi everyone!

I'm planning our first family vacation Dec 3-11. Does anyone know when the schedules for the parks come out? I dont know what days to do what parks yet. I learned on these boards its best to do the EMH park the day before they actually have the EMH. but how do we plan this without knowing?

I can start calling for my dining reservations next week but how am I going to know when to eat where??? :confused3 ok so I'm panicing... any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks a lot!!

The park hours are usually released about 2 months prior. I would start to look for Decemeber hours right around October 1st. Sometimes the EMH schedule can take a few days longer.

Thank you for replying Kilee!!!

am I going about planning my trip the right way? I dont think I can plan the days without knowing the hours correct? and for that matter I cant plan my meals either? sorry for my lack of knowldge! I just want to make this trip perfect for my DS3!!

Hi -- I was trying to do the same thing. As someone told me, you'll have to wing it. Put together a tentative schedule for each day and then pick your restaurants accordingly.

Most of my ADRs are for late lunch so the evening hours didn't matter as much to me. We're going in November and November hours won't be out til Sept. Once the park hours come out, I'll make changes if I need to.

Apparently, Disney waits to see what crowd levels will be before they announce park hours.

For off season times like this I generally don't even worry about what parks have emh which days. I pick the park I want to go to and go, and have never had a problem. I do make it a point to avod MK on Saturdays though, so I'd aim for that on your schedule. Also, are you doing MVMCP or the CP? If you are that of course will factor into what you do on each day.

This site has lots of great tips and I use it for the most up-to-date info when planning on our trips--just chock full of great info--

Maybe you already know about it, but I thought it might help if you don't :)
Good luck planning--I love it!

yes we are doing the MVMCP on the (Tuesday) 6th so I at least have one day I know what I'm doing! heheh

I was thinking of doing Epcot the first day we get there. (Sunday).. From what I understand it will take more than one day to do that so I figure go their first then we can go again later in the week to finish up what we missed.

So maybe AK Monday, start the day with the character breakfast there? :confused3

HI!

I plan my meals and then plan the parks for each day and that's as far as my planning goes. If we are going to Donald's Break. then that's the day we go to AK. Only plan one ADR meal a day and wing the rest.

I made a chart to plan it out.6 colunms by 10 columns and then plug in the headings, date, breakfast, lunch, dinner, park and event along the top and down the side each day we are there. I also went to allearsnet.com to use the PS report to plug in my meals and it prints out a report where you can then fill in the times and conf. #s to take with you.

Enjoy your trip and DON"T over plan, go with the flow!!

Don't miss MVMCP. We went last time and it was truely magical.

ENJOY YOUR TRIP!!!!!

We have vacationed at the same time period you have and used earlier morning days to our advantage. While Disney defines it as an off season it is far nicer to ride a favorite ride in the morning three times in 20 minutes (without a line) and find within two hours after the park opens, now is taking 20-30 minutes to ride once.

Considering the global weather events of 2004 and 2005, it is important to understand many individuals have changed their travel destinations for 2005. Disney is high on the list as an alternative destination this year, so you should expect crowds to be higher than normal, except during the time they experienced the hurricanes last year.
